Gotham's Mother Nature

CHAPTER1⃣8⃣

Everyone in the hall looks around as the building shook a little then proceeded to fight. Once every demon was dead, the Justice League turned to the five.

"Stop this, Melinoe. You and your friends have done enough damage here. It's time to end this." You spoke walking forward. Melinoe and her friends laughed causing anger starting to grow in you.

"Silly, no one is stopping anything. You, my dear, can't stop us or our plan. I told you before, I will make you suffer and make you watch as I kill everything and everyone you love."

"Enough playing games." Batman walked next to you. You threw your hands out before vines charged for them. They ducked out of the way.

While Joker used used a machine gun to shoot Batman who was ducking while making his way towards him. Finally, reaching the crazed clown, he landed a blow to the face, multiple punches to the gut before roundhouse kick into a wall. Joker groaned before standing up and charged for the Dark Knight.

You stood on a large flower while the vines tried to bring Melinoe down to earth. Large walls from the ground blocked her paths until she had nowhere to go. She gasped as a vine charged for her and smacked her through the walls of the Asylum. The flower moved on its own, transporting you to Melinoe's final destination.

"Wonder Woman, Zatanna, go help (H/n)." Superman said before she gave a nod and followed you.

SLASH

Into a wall, Superman and Shazam crashed. They looked up to see a large, black lion-like beast snarling down at them. Lady Grey snickered wickedly as she formed a python-like beast from a shadow.

Superman charged for the lion shadow and tried to land a blow, only for the punch to go through it. His face turned to horror before it hit him to the ground with its massive paw. He grunted as it used it's strength to crush him.

Shazam found himself in a similar predicament. The python shadow was squeezing the life out of him. He couldn't do anything, even properly breathe. He felt like this was his doom, the end of Shazam.

The Green Lanterns imagined two large bazookas while Aquaman charged water for towards Desiree who summoned a shield that deflected their attacks. She, then summoned up an energy ball and shot it towards the three. The energy ball made impact and a dark aura surrounded them. She smirked as the three started bickering and then fought amongst each other.

Martian-Manhunter and Flash ducked out the way once Melissa's blast. Martian-Manhunter transformed into a wierd octopus-like creature and snaked his tentacles around Melissa who struggled against them. Flash was ran up his tentacles and was about to land a punch when Melissa teleported out of the way. He and Martian-Manhunter looked around in shock when suddenly the poor Martian caught fire from nowhere. Flash quickly jumped of his friend's tentacles and watched in horror as his friend screamed in pain.
Melissa smirked, and as fast as the wind, she placed a small bracelet on Flash's wrist.

"That little bracelet is actually a bomb. If you ran slower or even stop, it will explode in five seconds. And if you ran faster than how you'd normally run, it will, then explode in five seconds." she smiled as he started running. Melissa hysterically laughed as he watched the two heroes suffer in misery.

Beast Boy comes to a halt and turns to a tired and almost dizzy Scarecrow. He readies himself and pounces for the weakened villian, knocking him unconscious.

Robin smirks in triumphant after landing a roundhouse kick on a weakened Bane. He quickly cuts the tubes attached to him and sighs in a little exhaustion from the short but tiresome battle.

Raven and Starfire fly over to the two a second later.
"What happened to the two blockheads?" Robin asks with a raised brow on a curious face. Raven moves out of the way to show that the villians we tied up and ready to be put back in prison.

"Huh, impressive." he complimemted...in his own way.

"Well done, superhero girls." Beast Boy praised with a large smile on his face. The two teens responded with smiles of gratitude.

"We need to proceed with our mission." Robin reminded and ran off, basically spoiling the fun, in Beast Boy's opinion but they followed anyway.

In the first hallway, Dick dodges the bullets that are being fired towards him while making his way up to Two-face. He was about to land a blow to the gut but Two-face blocked the impact and hit Dick with the machine gun, straight to the nose. Dick backed up and felt a warm liquid run down his now broken nose.

Two-face charges for him and lands multiple punches which were blocked by Dick's arms which were shielding his face.

Jason used that as an advantage and quietly made his way behind Two-face.

"Knock, knock." he smugly said while knocking Two-face out with the gun. He looks up at his older brother and smiles. "That was nice."

"You think?"

"Oh be greateful I did help."

"Yeah, for the first time in your life. You're making progress, Hood."

"Fuck you, asshole."

"Yeah, yeah. You too, Jaybird."

In the second hallway, Kaldur and Red Robin finally kill the last plant monsters and turned to a furious Poison Ivy.

"YOU KILLED MY PLANTS AND NOW I'LL KILL YOU!" she screeched, charging for the two. In the process, two large vines grew from her hands and she used them like whips.

Tim dodged getting whipped and slashed the vine's edges. He then ran for Ivy but got caught up in the cut vine.

"Bloody hell." he muttered with half-lidded eyes. Poison Ivy made sure he made impact with everything he crashed into. Kaldur intervened and slashed the vine that held his friend before using the opportunity to land the final blow on Ivy.

As Ivy falls to the ground unconscious, Tim stretches his painful muscles. Once he stops, he looks down at Ivy.

"She's unbearable." he said and tied her up.

"She is." Kaldur agreed but remembered the others. "We need to go."

They both ran off in search of their friends or mentors.

In the third hallway, Wally sighs in defeat before he got an idea once he saw Conner's predicament and ran for the large robot.

Conner, after dodging an attack, sees Wally running towards him with missiles right behind him. He flew around the robot and landed on the side. Wally slid from under the robot. He turned just to see the missiles make impact and blow the robot to bits.

Penguin ran towards his now blown up. machine.

"Oh no, my beautiful machine." he sobbed but came to a halt when he felt a gentle tap in his shoulder. He turned only to be met with two fists, knocking him unconscious.

"Thanks for the save, Wally." Conner placed a gentle hand in his friend's shoulder.

"You're welcome." Wally smiled but realized something. "Wait did you just thank me?"

Conner realized that as well but walked off in response.

"No, seriously. Did you?"

"Shut up, Wally."

"Oh man, wait until I tell the others."

"Shut up!"

"Hahaha!"

In the fourth hallway, Harley clears the smoke with her hand and looks for the two teen heroes only to be shocked that nothing was there. Just a large hole in the wall.

"Seriously, no blood, no flesh, nothing?" she listed looking around for the two. "You gotta be kidding me."

Artemis and M'gann hover just above Harley, invisibly. M'gann quickly levitated Harley's mallet and gave it to Artemis who quietly landed behind Harley and hit her from behind with it.

She immediately dropped it once Harley fell to the ground unconscious.

"Man, she's crazy. I can't believe we actually survived that blast." M'gann said flying over.

"Yeah and just in the nick of time." Artemis agreed before they rushed off to find the others.
