Chapter 3

Ashley POV:

"I got the job!!!" She said nearly jumping up and down.

"Really?!? That's great. We should have a party to celebrate!"

"That's sounds great! I'll cook up some food. Do you think you could invite people over?".

"Sure, I'll clean up the house first and then I'll sit at the dining table and we'll go over who we should invite." I say.

"Sounds good to me. While your cleaning up, I'm going to go to the grocery store to pick up a couple of things." Jenny says (that's my BFF's name. Should have introduced it sooner!).

I mop that floors and dust off the wooden tables. As I finish up polishing the furniture, Jenny walks in with two bags of groceries.

"I thought you were only getting a FEW groceries" I said laughing.

"They had lots of good deals, I couldn't help myself!"

"Whatever" I say shaking my head.

Jenny starts cooking and I start writing down names and phone numbers of friends that we might invite.

"So do you want to invite all of your work colleagues?"

"Yes but not Ben......he a jerk".

"Ok do you mind if I invite Tom?" I ask

"Aww, sure. Go ahead and invite your ...... Boyfriend😏.".

"He's not my boyfriend! Sure I do like him, but I don't even know if we should date!" I said annoyed.

Tom POV:

I just finished streaming GTA5 when I get a text from Ashley

"Hey do you want to come over for a party? My BFF just got a new job so I wanted to celebrate."

"Sure! What time do I need to be there?"

"6pm is fine. Here's the address _____________."

"Ok cool. See you then!"

I get on a shirt from my clothing line and a pair of jeans with some converse. I was almost out the door until Tucker notices me dressed for some thing.

"Sooo, where are you going tonight?" He says with smile.

"Oh.... Uh... I-I was invited to party....."

"Who invited you?" He says with a derpy smile.

"Um....... *cough*Ashley*cough*".

"Wait can you say that again Tom.... It sounded like Ash... Ashley." He said knowing that I was getting annoyed.

"Yes Ashley!! She invited me over to her condo to celebrate her friend getting a job."

"Look Tucker, I enjoyed this conversation by I have to get going. I have to be their by 6 and it's already 5:30."

"Ok go get them tiger!" Tucker said laughing.

I get to Ashley's condo and I she answers the door.

"Hey Tom"

"Hey Ashley, you look....beautiful.." I blush and I notice that she blushes too.

"Can I come in?"

"Oh yeah.... Sorry about that. Welcome to my humble home." She says with a gorgeous smile.

As I walk in I realize that there is about 15 other people there. I walk in and introduce myself to everyone. After about 30 minutes we get some food and we watch a movie.

As I walk to the couch to find a seat, I notice that Ashley saved me a seat. I smile and go sit down next to her. We all ate our food and we start to drink. I notice that everyone is getting really drunk. Ashley and I pick a movie.

About half way through the the movie, Ashley puts her head on my should. I lift up my arm and put it around her. She looks into my eyes, leans in and kisses me

Half way through the kiss i pull away and say "I'm sorry.... I can't".

I get up and I grab me some soda from the fridge.

"Did I do something wrong?" I hear as Ashley walks up to me.

"It's not you... It's just that I recently got out of a relationship and I just don't know if I'm ready..." I say

"I'm also about to go to England for a month.... I-I just don't know if it's the right time.."

I see that see is very sad. "Look maybe we can just be friends until I get over this hump in my life?

"Sure" she says with disappointment.

I say goodbye and leave the party early so I could start preparing for my trip back to England.

Did I just make a big mistake.....
