We can be a family

Rathod house-

Shalini and Chini came home to find Aditya waiting for them, they were surprised and looked at each other flustered.

Ad- tum dono kaha the?

Ch- Amma and I had gone to my swim meet, this was the last one for the season!

Ad- Imlie you need to rest, why did you go? You should have at least told me, I could have come with you two.

Ch- I took her, I thought this would cheer her up! Amma tum abhi sone jaoo please , I will come by to say good night later.

Shalini began walking away and Aditya grabbed her hand.

Ad- Imlie ruko, mujhe tumse baat karni hai

Ch- baba amma is tired. She should go now

Ad- Chini you are a kid, you go to sleep, don't worry I'll put your amma to bed today.

Shalini looked at Chini desperately trying to get out of the situation. Shalini finally pretended to faint and Aditya carried her to bed. Chini kept a watchful eye and then decided to strike up a conversation with him.

Ch- baba kya hum baat kar sakte hain?

Ad- of course Chini , bolo!

Ch- I did what you asked me to! I wrote down all my dreams for you !

Ad- oh that's great Chini, show me what have you written

Chinis note had a nay one thing on it
" Chini Aryan Singh Rathod, daughter of Imlie and Aryan Singh Rathod "

Aditya grew a little frustrated at reading the note but he hid his anger from Chini.

Ad- Chini! This is beautiful! Why are you crying?

Ch- I'm crying because I know now this dream can never come true !

Ad- how about you dream a new dream!

Ch- I can't, I'm so sad , things have changed so quickly!

Ad- Chini , I know things are bad right now but they can get better too! Trust me!

Ch- I do trust you but I know I won't be happy until I can be their daughter officially! I had this whole thing planned and I even told my friends, the ones in school and ones online, I can never leave the house now, everyone will call me a liar!

Ad- Chini, you can still have a mom and dad, we all can still be together!

Ch- what do you mean together?

Ad- I meant Chini, that your baba is not coming back and your Amma needs someone to be there for her, I know how well you take care of her too, you are there I know but how long will everyone play that role? She needs a companion!

Ch- I don't think she will ever agree to this! She loves baba.

Ad- Chini I'm not saying this will happen overnight but we have to help Imlie, I dont plan to take your Aryan Baba's place, not now not ever! But we cannot allow her to live in her grief forever, right?

Ch- Yes you are right, I dont like seeing her sad! I will do anything for her...anything to make her happy, she has been there for me when nobody was!

Ad- I dont like seeing her sad either Chini! I know what you and Imlie mean to each other! My idea to make her happy again, will work only if you are with me? All I want to know now is if you are ok with us being a family?

Chini pretended to cry even louder and Aditya went over and hugged her.

Ad - I'm so sorry Chini, I didn't want to make you cry! I know this is too much all at once, you don't have to answer me now! All I ask is that you trust me! I care about you and Imlie, and you two will never be alone until you have me .
