The blaring noise of my alarm rang through my ears like a bell. I jumped up from my sleep and felt beads of sweat dripping from my forehead. I furrowed my brows and ran my hand against my forehead brushing it off.
My body temperature lowered as I took deep breaths.
I'm tired of this.. I said to myself as I slid out the bed slowly walking to my door.I unlocked my door confused until I remembered what happened last night.
What happened to Jenay ?.. why did she get slapped? Why wasn't her mom there and here with my mom ?These thoughts ran through my head as I stripped myself of all clothing and hopped in the shower. I turned the shower on to a warm temperature and stood there taking it all in.
I love how the warm water runs down my skin and how I feel at ease as this happens.
I feel free.
Jenay's face ran through my mind as I replayed the way she looked as she was serious and how she sat with me at lunch time. She was ethereal and it raised my body temperature once more.I ran my hand down my smooth but wet skin as I went towards my temple. I rubbed in a circular motion as I thought of her and a moan escaped from my lips as my brows furrowed.
"EMANI IM LEAVING!"
fuck.
My eyes shot open hearing my mom and I removed my hands and stood there in shock. I felt stupid as hell so I just ended up grabbing my cloth and washing myself trying not to think of this infatuating woman.

I made it to school as I was walking down the narrow but large hall as everyone made sure they were out my way. It was as if I had a disease of some sort the way everyone backed off from me.
I finally made it to my locker as I nodded my head to the music filling my eardrums. I opened the locker and stuffed my book bag in quickly also grabbing my textbooks.
As I turned around fairly quick I bumped into someone.
I looked up to see Jenay who looked at me confused.
I furrowed my brows and looked around trying to show the apology through my eyes as I hated to speak as if it was the worst thing I could do.The look of despair made her eyes glow and her face soften. "It's okay.." she stated before walking off. I watched her walk away as she had her hands shoved in her pockets. I sighed and pushed my Afro away from my face as I went towards her direction considering we had first period together.
We both entered the classroom at the same time and the teacher turned around with the same big grin on her face.
"I have an announcement when everyone is seated!" She stated fairly loudly.
I sat in my seat the same as usual with the sluggish manner as Jenay sat with all ears.
The classroom became as low as a whisper before completely falling silent."Okay class we have a project, I want you all to write a poem but not any poem.. I want you all to write about love, how you interpret love and how you feel it through your everyday life."
The class whispered and my eyes grew large as this was something I would be interested in doing.
My face fell as I realized the prompt and I sat up a bit. As I don't really feel love as much as I used to since the incident. Love doesn't exist, love hasn't felt the same since him.. and I'm sure they don't want to hear my depressed ass interpreting it.
