Time is The Essence (the pals time travel au)

Alex

Doors appear in both of the waiting rooms. In the park, five doors appear out of thin air, lined up in a row. 

Alex opens his eyes at this strange phenomenon. 

"I guess we're supposed to go through these." 2017 Corl says to Denis.

Sketch runs to one, and Denis runs after. Corl hesitates for a second, then follows them. 

"Weird. They don't go anywhere." Sketch says, looking behind one of the closed doors. 

"Well duh, it's because they're portals." Sub says, pointing out the obvious as him and Alex have made their way to the doors as well. 

"Well, I think alex should go first." Sub says.

"Hey! Why me?" Alex asks.

"It's because you're a wizard Alex, you're used to this magic stuff." Sketch remarks.

"Yeah, but I've never walked through a door portal before!" Alex protests. 

"Fine. I'll just go." Sub says, walking towards his door.

"WAIT! what if we're supposed to go through certain ones?" Denis protests.

"That's just stupid." Sub points out. "If they were assigned to each of us, then they'd be labeled somehow."

"Guys, we need to get outta here eventually." Sketch says. He walks up to his door and opens it, revealing the white light spilling out from inside.

"That's not intimidating at all." Alex says sarcastically.

"Sketch is right, we should just get this over with." Corl says while opening his door.

"Okay, we should all just count down and go. 3..." Alex says.

"2." The others join in and open their doors.

"One".

Denis, corl, and sketch all go through their doors. The doors close behind them and disappear.

"Why didn't you go?" Sub asks.

"I was waiting for you." Alex admits. "And I'm scared."

"Hey, it's okay. Sub says, closing his door and appearing behind Alex, who's still holding his door open. Sub pats Alex on the back.

"You'll be just fine." Sub says.

While Alex is still contemplating walking into the portal, Sub pushes him in.

"SUB-!"

Sub closes Alex's door and it disappears. He laughs to himself and walks back to his door, opening it again.

Sub walks through the door, acting like nothing happened.

Emotion: Betrayal 

Thanks to sub pushing me, I stumble out of my door falling onto a hard tile floor, the impact knocking the glasses off my face.

"Ow."

I find my glasses and put them back on. I'm in an aquarium. I slowly stand up with a limp and take in my surroundings. There's a customer service desk in front of me, a gift shop to the side of me, and an entrance to the actual aquarium to the left. There's some fish tanks, a couple touch pools, but no other people here as far as I can see. I wonder if this is another waiting room.

Luckily, Sub's push didn't actually cause me to have any serious injuries. My limo goes away as I walk into another area with darker lighting and more aquatic displays. The fish tanks here are much larger, and I decide to look into one. It's thriving with life, tons of different fish swimming around with aquatic plants and corals to compliment them.
