Before what happened

Lately I've felt everything yet nothing all at once.

I know that probably doesn't make sense but it's the truth.

It's like I'm drowning but everyone around me is breathing.

Like I'm walking in slow motion while everyone else is running.

Lyric's currently laying on my bed, playing with my hair.

I'm interrupted by her soft kiss on my palm.

"What are you thinking about?" She asks me so softly I almost don't hear it.

I smile at her. "Nothing baby, nothing." I kiss her lips.

She frowns but doesn't push the subject any further.

There's a knock on the door and she looks at me, a little frightened.

Sebastian would've just walked in, which means it's one of my other brothers and she's kinda still scared of them a little bit.

I take her hands in mine and bring her hands up to my mouth, kissing her knuckles.

"Come in." I call.

Tyler walks in and he looks annoyed.

"Why have you just been laying in bed all day? Hell, you've been like this everyday. It's annoying." He scolds me.

"Sorry." I mutter. "I just haven't had a lot of motivation lately." I admit.

"Stop being lazy. It's not that hard to just do the stuff you're supposed to be doing. So stop whining and get off your lazy ass." He rants.

I shrink into myself and Lyric squeezes my hands.

"I'm not being lazy, I'm just-" I get cut off by Tyler.

"Stop making excuses, Francis! You think you're the only one with problems? You're not. So get up and do your job."

"I'm sor-" this time, Lyric cuts me off.

"Don't apologize to him." She tells me firmly and I notice she's angry.

She turns towards him and stands up. "Stop yelling at him and stop invalidating his feelings. He is dealing with the loss of his father and even if he wasn't that still wouldn't give you the right to say all of this."

"We're all dealing with the loss of our father, you idio-" Lyric slaps him.

"Shut up. I won't sit here and listen to you disregarding his feelings. I won't sit here and listen to you yelling at him for something he can't control. I won't sit here and listen to you telling him to stop being lazy." She's ranting.

"He is not being lazy. He is going through something right now and your bitchy attitude isn't helping. If you say one more thing to hurt my boyfriends feelings I will make you regret it."
