Nick had gotten attacked. His face turned pale, his eyes got darker, and his personality.. his personality was off.
You sat with Nick alone in a cabin. You couldn't find your way back to camp while the thing that hurt him chased you, but you did find an old cabin. Must've been abandoned.
"I'll get you some first-aid.. if I can find any.." you said. You were worried about Nick.. you crushed on him since the second week of camp.
This whole night made your head throb. You got up and searched the dirty, worn cabin. In a closet in the bathroom, you found a tiny first-aid kit with some gauze and bandages. It should help at least a little bit.
"Nick," you started, "Can you please.. uh.. remove your shirt? I need to look at your wounds." Nick shook his head 'no' quickly. "Nick, now." you demanded. You weren't taking any chances tonight.
After a moment of hesitation, Nick slowly removed his shirt, hissing. I stared for a moment. "Hot, aren't I?" Nick smirked.
"What? No! I mean- Not no! But I.." you shook your hands in denial as he laughed at your embarrassment. "Asshole.." you muttered as he put his hands above his head. You carefully put the gauze on the huge scratches on his chest, then wrapping it in the bandages.
"Y/n.." he said. "Why are you here?"
"What?" you asked, stopping for a moment to look at him.
"I mean, you could have left me. Ran off to the others. But you didn't." Nick was maintaining eye contact with you now, his eyes an odd yellow tint.
You cleared your throat. "Well.. I wouldn't forgive mysef for leaving you and seeing you dead later."
Nick inhaled sharply as you bandages a wound on his stomach. "The others probably think we're in trouble. Or.."
"Or what..?"
"Or.. you know.. fucking.."
"Nick!" You threw the gauze and bandages on the ground, smiling from his stupid comment.
"What?! Just saying! It's a thought they could have!" he smiled back. "'Where's y/n?' 'They're probably banging Nick!' 'Finally made their move, huh?'" he mocked the counselors voices.
"Wait.." you said, your expression changing. "Made their move?"
Nick stopped smiling for a moment. "Y/n, I know. I know you like me, and.."
"..I should.. go get the others." How did he know?! Did Emma tell him? You were so embarrassed. You headed for the door until you felt Nick's hand on yours, grabbing it and holding it tightly.
"Please, Y/n.. stay?" he looked like a lost puppy. Weak and fragile.
"Stay..?" you asked, your voice almost a whisper.
"Stay." he pulled you into his arms, laying on the bed. You lay still, head on his chest. He started to play with your hair.
"Nick I don't understand.."
Nick laughed softly. "Well.. I like you too. And I told Jacob.. he tried to get me with you and Emma told him you liked me. Simple as that."
Your cheeks heated up. Is this a fucking dream? How can this night get any better and worse?
"Wow.. props to Emma and Jacob!"
"Yeah," he smirked. "Props to them."
You layed there on his chest for a bit, listening to his heartbeat. Suddenly, you got up, looking at his bare chest. "Wait, doesn't it hurt? When I lay on you?" you worried.
"Shut up, you worry too much," he said, gently putting you back onto him. "Worrying gives you wrinkles."
"What!" you laughed. "Are you serious?"
"Don't know! Just need an excuse to be with you, that's all."
