Orange poppies
are her favorite flower.
She has a garden
at the top of her tower
where buddings bloom
with buzzing bees,
and fill the room
with something sweet.
She watches them,
the fairy flowers,
hums a hymn
alone for hours.
She knows they're timid-
they like to hide-
but she knows they're there
waiting inside
the orange blooms
she keeps in her room
atop the tower
alone for hours.
