APTER TEN
"Are you sure you're okay to go today Lou" Harry asks as Louis is making his tea the next morning.
"Yeah, I've been back since you know, you both took me back there after it happened" Louis says
"We know, but that was part of the case, we didn't have a choice, and we were there too" Scott says protectively
"I'm only going to the library, that's it, I promise I'm okay" Louis says
"Just, call us if you need to, okay, we can be there in six minutes" Scott says
"Six minutes?" Louis asks fondly
"Harry timed it last night" Scott says sheepishly
Louis blushes as he looks towards Harry
"I just wanted to make sure we could get to you quickly if you needed us" Harry shrugs, hiding his blush
"Thank you" Louis says shyly.
"Just call us when you get home okay, we will be back at 6" Harry says
Louis nods
"I have to go to the grocery store on my way home, do you need anything?" Louis asks
"Well, actual food would be good, living off tea isn't going to sustain us or you" Scott chuckles and Louis blushes
"Sorry bout that, I just haven't been hungry, I'm just a little stressed about everything" Louis then says
"We know, and it's okay, we just need you to try and eat okay, and like we said, that's Andy's orders too" Scott says
Louis sighs and nods.
"Well I better get going" Louis says, his meeting is scheduled for early this morning
"Have a good day" Harry and Scott say, Louis nods.
He walks out of the house, Harry and Scott watching him go. Murdock and Lucas have already switched out with Max and Jeremy for the day. Louis makes it to his black Mercedes and puts his backpack in.
"Louis" Jeremy calls out
Louis turns towards him and half smiles. Jeremy looks Louis up and down, he thinks Louis looks so hot in his skinny black jeans, denim jacket and beanie.
"Are you heading out today?" Jeremy asks
"Yeah, until about 1 I think" Louis says
Jeremy nods
"Are you okay? I just wanted to check after last night" Jeremy says
"Last night?" Louis asks confused
"Oh, we just heard yelling at the end of shift, before we left and I just wanted to make sure you were okay" Jeremy says
"Oh, yeah, fine, sorry, yeah everything's good" Louis says slightly embarrassed
"Okay, well good to hear" Jeremy says
"Have a good day" Louis says as he gets into his car
"You too" Jeremy says
Jeremy walks back over to Max and the squad car and Louis pulls out of the driveway. There is something about Jeremy that Louis finds odd but he just shrugs it off
Back in the house Harry and Scott watch the exchange from the window
"That's odd" Harry says
"He might just be being nice" Scott shrugs
