"Do you know what happened to our parents?" He said as I leaned my head in his shoulder. A strong feeling was clenching to my heart.
He was the only one I could talk to. He was the only one who truly knew me and my bloodthirsty desires.
"I told you I didn't want to know." I lied through my teeth because I knew I wasn't ready yet.
My adoptive parents told me I should never ask them about my biological parents until I felt totally ready and even when I did, I knew they didn't tell me the truth. Besides, it was too harsh for me to hear it right now. I was still assimilating who my parents were.
"It's enough to know what runs through my veins."
"They weren't monsters," he whispers to comfort me, then caresses my red curly hair. "When you turned 16 I told you the truth, you remember?"
Of course I did. It was May 15th and I was finally 16. I was out with my friends; we were heading to a concert.
"Fuck!" Hannah whined behind me, "We are late!"
We entered the big auditorium and I felt someone poking my shoulder. I grunted and turned to face the person who had touched me.
"You hate people touching you." I stood in silence watching the hazel eyed boy with blond curly hair.
"Liam?" I trailed off as my breathing got heavier.
"I can't believe you remember me," he said as people passed him by.
"Of course I do. It's just been a year..."
"I've been looking for you," He shouted near me while the band started playing. "I told you I was coming back."
"I had to leave town too," I yelled back, "for a while, because my mother was afraid, you know? About the murders of the young girls, one was a friend of mine." My eyes were starting to get glossy.
"Sure," He said in a lower voice," I am sorry about that."
"Hey, can we talk later?" I said not wanting to lose my favorite band.
"Yeah," he frowned, "After the concert? At the café we always go to?" Liam asked eagerly as he took my hand.
"Yes! Bye!" I kissed him goodbye.

"Hi," I said as I sat in front of him. I recall there was an odd feeling teasing my heart and mind. Just as if I knew what would happen next.
"Here," He pushed a cup of smoky coffee. "So," he tooks a sip of his cup. "You told me that you would ask your parents about your story and stuff when you turned sixteen, how it went?"
I bit my lower lip. "Well," I took a sip of my coffee. "They just told me their names and they made me promise I wouldn't ask or look for more."
"What are their names?" He asked with a curious but trembling voice.
"Laura and Jason Edwards."
"So they told you the truth..." He muttered looking away.
"I guess?" At that moment I didn't know what he meant. "Wait," I said looking him right in the eye. "How do you know?" He winced and then placed his cold hands over my warm hands. His touch felt good on my tanned skin.
"I have to tell you," he said, his eyes leaned on me. "Please don't get upset, don't make a fuss about it."
He knew I could be childish sometimes and he wanted to make sure that I would stick with him and that the truth wouldn't change a thing about us. But it changed things between us because I had strong feelings for him and after knowing the truth, the feelings had to go away.
"I won't," I said rolling my eyes.
"Fine," he had a sweet smile on his face because he used to say I look pretty whenever I rolled my eyes. "Do you know my surname?" I shook my head no. "I am Liam Edwards..."
"So?" I was too stupid to realize what he had said.
"So... you are Skylar Edwards..." He stood in silence so I could take it in.
