how is it that when light and gas undergo great pressure they turn into a star

but i slip and decay

don't say the things i want to say

how is that when carbon's deposits undergo great pressure they turn into a diamond

but i die and fall away

and i do it everyday

shouldn't i be beautiful by now

shouldn't i be something great

because i just feel the same

if not worse

can't i be special

special enough to be a diamond or a star

special enough not to fall apart

after all the pressure put on top of me

shouldn't i be turned into beauty
