"Zane, what are you doing here?" asked Mila, tentatively
"Just passing by to see my best friend, got a problem" Replied Zane, smirking
"Nope not at all" Said Mila while smiling
*Zane took out two pieces of paper from his pocket and handed them to Mila*
"Et Voila!" Exclaimed Zane
*Mila stared at Zane for a second before speaking again*
"Wait wait- you- i- oh my god...how?"
"I promised you the concert tickets ; there you go"
"Oh and by the way the concert in next month"
"OMGEE THANK YOU ZANE " Shouted Mila while giving Zane a tight hug
" Can't wait for us to go there together!"
"Yeah me too but it's getting dark. i'll drop you home" Said Zane
*They both start heading to Mila's house*
After a few minutes they reach Mila's house
"Uhm Zane...?" Ask's Mila
"Yeah what's up ?" Replied Zane
"Oh- uh- never mind i'll tell you tomorrow!" Said Mila
"Alright then! goodnight Mila"
a soft chuckle.
"Goodnight"
*The next day*
Zane receives a call from Mila and she tells him to meet up at the Cafe near the lake.
*At the Cafe*
Zane approaches Mila across the lake near the Cafe with his vibrant, charming and assertive smile.
"Good morning dummy!!" said Zane while keeping his smile
"Good morning crackhead!!" replies Mila while smiling back at Zane
"So what did you want to talk about early in the morning" Zane asked curiously
"I think i meet my soulmate again" Replied Mila
"Oh you did? Who is it ?"
"Well remember when i went Venice for a business trip"
"Yeah what about it"
"That's where i meet him, he was charming and sweet an-"
"Yeah yeah i get it no need to go in detail" Said Zane while interrupting Mila
"What is his name though, do you know him?"
"Of Course i do , his name is Enzo...Enzo Cartier"
"The sound of Mila Cartier sounds so nice doesn't it"
*Zane stares at her and then burst out laughing*
"Hey! What's so funny"
"Nothing nothing its just funny how you all over heels over a guy you just meet"
"Yeah whatever , your just jealous"
"Me ? jealous ? of who exactly ?"
"Enzo or who else"
"Never wh-"
*Zane gets interrupted by a unknown phone call on Mila's phone*
"Oh my god , oh my god!" exclaimed Mila
"What is it ? who called"
"Its him...Enzo , I gotta go now i'll talk to you later Zane"
"Oh uhm alright bye"
"Bye"
*Mila gets up and leaves the cafe while leaving Zane by himself*
After finishing his coffee Zane leaves for a walk near the lake.
"What have I done wrong, I don't get it.
I've always been there for her and she never noticed my feelings towards her , I even made it so obvious but she was so oblivious .
It's always some other guy she goes for and now this Enzo guy.
I guess all I can do is just be happy for her..." Said Zane in his mind
*Zane gets a notification on his phone*
"An invitation?...oh nearly forgot tomorrow it's Milas's 20th birthday"
"I should probably start buying some presents"
Zane spends the rest of the day finding the perfect present for his beloved Mila.
*The next day*
*Milas pov*
"Can't believe im turning 20 today , i'm becoming old" Said Mila in her mind
Mila goes outside to buy the remaining decoration for her party but little did she know she would have encountered someone again .
*At the store*
Mila tries to grab the teddy bear decoration from the top shelf but while she was trying to reach it she slips, but luckily someone caught her on time.
"Oh my thank you so much sir- Noel?!" exclaimed Mila in confusion
"Oh uhm hey there...happy birthday Mila" Replied Noel
"You still remember..." whispered Mila
"Sorry what did you say didn't catch that"
"Nothing but anyways thank you and goodbye"
*Noel stops her by grabbing her arm*
"Listen Mila i know what happened in the past is wrong and i'm sorry can you please give me a second chance..?" Said Noel while staring deeply into Mila's eyes
Mila stops for a second to think while looking at the floor.
"Fine...let me just pay for this stuff then i'll talk to you"
After paying Noel and Mila start talking and Noel finally starts making up for his past mistakes .
They talk and talk till they reach Mila's house and that's when Noel offers to help decorate the house for Mila's birthday.
Mila starts liking Noel's company and she does not regret giving him a second chance.
*Later in the day when everyone shows up at the party*
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILA!!" shouted all of Mila's friends
"Hey there happy birthday dummy" Said Zane while giving Mila a hug
"Thanks Zane , you know you didn't have to bring a gift"
"Why wouldn't i bring one , c'mon you know me"
"Yeah yeah"
For the rest of the day they all celebrated Mila's birthday party and have fun , however Zane was getting unwanted attention the whole time from someone.
In the middle of the party Zane goes out for some fresh air and that's when someone comes up to him.
"Hey you!"
