19 | TVA Loki (Endgame Loki) {Part 2}

Morta's POV

There's too much ground to cover in New York, too many people, too many high-rises, too many places for him to be. Knowing how difficult this could be, I head to the Avengers Tower.

"Morta!" Tony exclaims when I walk into his lab, startling Bruce at the sudden noise.
"Hey tin can, hey Bruce. I missed you two," I say walking up to Tony.
"What brings you back to New York?" Tony asks.
"Well, I'm looking for another Loki, one who understands humanity a little better than the last one. I know that some of these Loki's love hiding in plain sight and I though that New York would probably be an obvious choice. So, I need your help again," I tell him.
"Okay, what do you need me to do?" he questions.
"So, I was wondering if there's anyway that you can use security camera footage and facial recognition to see if any Loki's have been in New York recently, or if they currently are. Luckily, this Loki is one of the ones that you have photos of," I tell him.
"Alright. It might take me a day or so, do you want a room for the time being?" he asks.
"That would be great, thank you," I say smiling at him.

I walk to the room I normally stay in when I end up here. I have some time to kill which means that I get to go and meet up with all the others, who I've missed dearly. I have to start with Nat.

I walk into the training room to see her and Steve sparring. She sees me, whacks Cap over the head and runs over to me, embracing me in a hug.
"I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN SO LONG!" she yells.
"I KNOW I'M SORRY!" I reply.
Cap groans in the background.
"Hi Capsicle!" I say smiling as he stand up, rubbing his head.
"I understand the excitement Nat, but no need to hit me over the head," he says, mildly annoyed. She just laughs at him. "Great to see you Morta."
"Same for you," I giggle.

After that fun little interaction, I decide to go to the living room and see who I can catch up with there. Sadly, no one is there at the time. I decide to get myself something to eat and drink. As I sit down with my meal, Bucky and Sam walk in the door fighting over something, but both immediately stop when they see me. 
"Morta!! You're back!" Sam yells.
"Sam shut up. Glad to see you though Morta," Bucky says, glaring at Sam.
"You two need to learn to tolerate each other. It's nice to see you both as well though," I say.
"We'd love to stick around but we have a mission to go on, so I guess this is probably farewell for a little longer," Bucky says. 
"Unfortunately, that's probably how it's going to go," I say. 
We say our goodbyes and they boys walk out, bickering once again.

There's one more avenger that I need to see before I go bother Tony again. I hop up into the vents and wait quietly until I hear the soft padding of what can only be a person. I drop out of the vents, leaving the grate I jumped out of slightly askew. The person gets to the grate and out falls Clint. 
"Ahw hey that wa- MORTA?!" he yells jumping up and pulling me into a hug.
"Hey bird boy," I say smiling.
"You're back!" he exclaims.
"That I am," I reply.
"What bring you back?" he asks as FRIDAY speaks to me over the tower speakers to go back to see Tony.
"Well, precisely what I'm about to go see Tony about," I say, disappointed that our conversation has to end here.
"Damn, catch you around," he says, jumping back in the vent.

I teleport back to the lab, appearing behind Tony, effectively giving him a heart attack. He shakes it off and angles the computer towards me.
"Sorry Morta, but there's nothing from the past month or so, I think you're out of luck here," he says, a sorry expression displayed on his face. 
"It's okay, I knew it probably wouldn't show up with anything, just though I'd check," I say.
"You're still welcome to spend the night," he says.
"Thanks," I reply and leave the lab.

I walk back to my room, thinking about where I might find Loki. Then it hits me. He might not be here at all. This is going to be so much harder than I thought.

Sorry, kinda boring. A bit of a filler chapter but I desperately wanted an Avengers filled chapter. anyway, love you all and thank you for reading.
