3rd Person POV
canyon only found out about john b after she went to the chateau and she saw them. they all turned to her and she sighed.
"there she is, where have you been?" jj said and canyon sighed as she looked at the ground and then around.
"home, i saw what they said in court. everyones talking about it, so what do we do?" she asked and they all looked at each other.
"im gonna testify under oath. i was there. i just need to get a hold of my sister " sarah stated
"your sister?" jj scoffed and canyon shared a look with kiara
"kie, do you have your phone?" sarah asked the girl and kiara nodded as she handed her the phone
"I don't know what else I'm going to do, I got us into this mess. I'm going do my best to get us out" sarah sad and she walked into the chateau
"shes right about one thing we have to do something. Our boy is a PO dub right now. He's held captive by the enemy right now maybe even scheduled for execution and we're just sitting here" JJ ranted
"so whats the plan? we start by kidnapping shoupe?" kiara asked
"maybe, like that's not the worse idea actually" jj retorted
"that is actually the worse idea I've ever heard" pope called out
"hey pope what we've been doing everything your way and how is that been working out" jj said and canyon snapped her head to the boy in shock, she never thought that he could say something so rude to pope and yet she was wrong.
"watch it jj" she told him and he looked at her in astonishment. then pope began to talk as they listened. canyon wasn't listening though, she had put her headphones in and was now staring outside of the window. she missed molly and jackson, she missed before all of this and she wished she could go back
she left the house after jj went home, she knew that her and pope had to talk about last night but they weren't ready for that and they needed to help john b first. she had gone home and there was molly and jackson together.
"hey there honey, how are you doing?" jackson asked and she turned to him and sighed.
"my best friend is in jail and I just got him back, I don't know what to do or who to talk to or where to go dad. its all turned to shit and I hate it" she stated and molly stepped forward as she hugged the girl and canyon hugged her back.
she cried softly as she let it all out. she didn't know what to do anymore, it was all too much and she knew that even if she tried to fix it right now, it wouldn't do anything. she didn't have a plan, she didn't have an idea of what to do and that scared her to death but she wasn't dying, she was breathing and living.
she let them go and sighed.
"I'm going to go out into the field, sleep under the stars, try to take my mind off of something" canyon told them and they nodded as she walked out of the house and they watched. she walked over to blue and she sat down next to him as he laid his head on her chest and she smiled as she ran her hand over his head and let him breathe.
"cuddling a cow? does that work?" she heard and she turned her head as she saw pope and kiara staring at her and she shrugged as she lifted her hand up and they sat down next to her.
"like a charm, makes you forget you and your mind" she told them and they smiled as they cuddled into blue and stardust walked over. he laid down next to them and the group of them cuddled into each other.
canyon knew that this didn't change or fix anything, she knew that laying there with them wasn't going to help john b or jj in that moment but she couldn't do anything. kiaras phone rang and she picked it up as she read the text from jj.
"shit , we need to go help jj like now" she said and they stood up as they ran to the car and began to drive to the location jj sent them. canyon drove as fast as she could , avoiding the cars and anything that could be hit. she knew that she needed to get there and fast.
pope sat in the back as kiara sat in the front and they cut off the ambulance. canyon slammed on the brakes and they stopped
"get out of the way! go" the man yelled at them and canyon rolled down the window
"sorry! I'm so sorry, I just got my license. its an accident" canyon said and she watched jj leave the ambulance and she drove off quickly. once they were far away, she pulled over and jj got in the back of the car
"ya know maybank, I'm beginning to think that you want to get caught and in trouble" she told the boy as she stepped on the gas and she drove off.
"look I busted the wrong guy out of jail alright. sue me" he stated and canyon groaned
"what?" kiara exclaimed
"at least I was trying" he retorted and pope scoffed
"as canyon said, why are you always doing such stupid shit?" kiara asked the boy and canyon nodded
"well I'm going to end up in jail anyway, so why does it matter?" jj said
"you okay man?" pope asked
"yeah, just a doozy of a day" jj stated and canyon nodded
"yeah, you can say that again" canyon said and she smiled softly at the boy.
it wouldn't be okay but they might be in the future.
