He woke up in the middle of the ocean confused as to how he got there and how he was going to get out.
He had a small boat that he was just floating around in, he couldn't see land anywhere around. He took a minute to think and then started rowing the boat in a random direction, in the hopes that he’ll find land eventually.

The days felt long and tiring, he had no food and no drinkable water, he tried to use his jacket as protection from the hot sun during the day, and at night he used it as a blanket whilst trying to sleep in this small boat with his long legs.
He had been rowing for two whole days, when he saw a fish below his boat, this fish kept swimming below his boat for the entire day, he kept noticing it, and he kept feeling like it was following him “that’s fucking crazy, it’s a fish, you're a fish your not following me, right!” He had stopped rowing for a break the water was completely still, and now he was yelling at a fucking fish.
“Oh my gods I’m losing my mind aren't I, it’s the sun and the lack of water and food.” he placed his head in his hands and closed his eyes, he was losing it.
“You’re not losing it.” it was a soft quiet voice that said it, his head shot up and he looked around just to find a girls face peaking from the edge of the boat, he was staring at her silently for a little, “Where the fuck did you come from?” she didn't say anything at first and looked a little disappointed when she finally spoke her voice was quiet but determined “Please, would you calm the swearing a little.” He looked at her with a shocked expression “Okay, but, where DID you come from, and who are you?” she lifted herself up a little more where now he could see her entire face, her hair was fiery red, her ears pointed like the fins of a fish, her eyes were greener than any green eyes he had ever seen before, and her lips were a beautiful almost slamon colour. Her skin was glowing beautifully and had a slight green tint to it. “My name is Sally, I came from the waters, see I’m a shapeshifter.” She gave him a small smile, “So who are you then sir?” He looked at her for a minute before answering “I’m Wilbur, nice to meet you I guess, you wanna join me on my journey of finding land?” she lowered herself back down in the water, “There’s land about three miles north here, you can follow me and I’ll show you.”
“Oh, okay, thank you.” she smiled at him and started swimming, and Wilbur did his absolute best to stay in pace with her.

When Wilbur eventually started seeing land he was no longer looking after Sally, but rather looking straight at the land, he hadn’t seen land in days. They got to the shore and while Wilbur pulled the boat far from the water line, Sally was sitting half in the water following Wilbur's every movement. “What are you looking at?” Sally let out a small laugh and laid down on the sand, for the first time Wilbur was seeing all of her, all the curves of her body, and he was seeing how absolutely perfect she was, “Just you, I have never seen a human this close by, my parent’s never let me go too close.”
“Wow, they seem…boring”
“They are.” Will sat down on the beach.
“Can you walk on land, or do you need to be in the water all the time?”
“I can go on land, I've just never done it so I don’t think I’d be too good at walking.” Will looked at her and let out a small laugh before standing up and giving his hand to Sally, “Come on, you deserve a little adventure, I'll help you” Sally looked up at Will and then took his hand, she closed her eyes as she stood up and at the same time shape shifted enough to the point that she had legs she could walk with, but here is where Wilbur noticed a problem, “Oh, shit!” He covered his eyes quickly and looked away, still holding her hand so she can stand. “Uhh…oops, I have never been in human form yet so, I don’t have anything to wear…sorry.”
“No, no it's fine here take my jacket and wrap it around yourself, we’ll find you something better later.” He kept holding her hand as he took off his jacket still having his eyes closed, and then he gave her his other free hand to hold while he took the jacket off the other arm, and handed it to her. She took the jacket and while still holding his hand she put the jacket on. “Wilbur, could you possibly help me tie this…I don’t want to let go I fear I may fall.”
“Uh, yeah, just put your hands on my shoulders, and I’ll tie it.” she did so, she gently placed her hands on Wilbur's shoulders, to hold herself up, her legs felt shaky under her. He opened his eyes slowly, and just looked at her face, as he felt for the belt around the jacket, when he found it he pulled the jacket closed and tied a knot on the belt, the jacket nearly hit the ground on her and looked huge, this made Wilbur smile, witch Sally thankfully didn't notice. After this, he took her hand back to his, and started walking backwards slowly, “Wilbur, I’ll fall!”
“Not on my watch you won’t just take some slow steps and I’ll hold you up.” Sally looked hesitant, but she did what Wilbur said, she took one step and felt her legs weak under herself, but she took another, and another, eventually she was taking multiple steps and at every step, Wilbur was holding her weight, less and less, until all she needed was to hold his arm, they walked like that further and further away from the shore.
