Chapter LIX:  Coping Mechanism

SURPRISINGLY ENOUGH, Adu Du was polite enough to offer the extra room to Y/n albeit with a noticeable reluctance. His ship wasn't as spacious as the last one they used but, everyone else agreed on sleeping on their sleeping bags since his ship only had only three rooms to use for resting. Probe offered his room to Kaden instead, telling them he'll just sleep in Adu Du's room. Y/n needed rest the most after their last face-off with General Erithrius and Elliot.

It was unusually crowded inside the ship but Adu Du had no choice but to help them after they managed to steal his ship from the opponents' grasp. He didn't want to say it out loud, but he was grateful for their help. He along with Probe couldn't express how much they missed the presence of his computer. He wanted to get back to Lunos either way and teaming up with TAPOPS will help him fulfil that desire. Even if that meant being buddy-buddy with his archenemies of all people.

The only thing the elemental hero was waiting for was the higher-ups' message for him and Y/n. Ochobot was helping him monitor for any incoming messages from the commander and admiral of the said organisation. Hours from now he is certain that they will be informed about their next move against Llumina and their ruler, King Lunos.  But as of now, they were using that time to rest before another day comes. They just managed to take back the square-headed alien's ship, but they weren't faring well otherwise.

The recent events have taken a toll on the team, and uncertain if there are any more Glamourans out there that were trustworthy. Cosmo was horrified to know Elliot's betrayal of Y/n. He knew how close the said eldian was to her mistress' heart, even before he was assigned as her pegasus guardian. The ex-knight knew her longer than he ever did, he could only imagine the pain Y/n was going through. A kind of pain that can be compared to the pain that she experienced when Lunos betrayed her.

He wanted to comfort her but he also knew that he wasn't the best for the role.

The team were also worried for the female elf, both emotionally and physically. She has been hurt a couple of times before but the pain is more gruesome when accompanied by emotional suffering. It has been a while since she went off to take a rest and everyone hoped she was taking all of her time despite the limit that was tailing them. The last few moments remained uneventful, just mostly arguments from the team captain and certain aliens.

It might have ended once Ying and Yaya intervened, telling them how Y/n needed to rest without interference and noise. Luckily her condition was not as severe last time, she didn't get sick or faint after overusing her magic.  Her purifying spell usually takes so much of her energy and they were relieved it wasn't as worse as before.
