Drooling out the side of my mouth, open wide for an insect to choke my windpipe.

My body lay on the mattress and the other half hanging off to the side.

The sunlight danced through the vanilla blinds, birds chirped, and a cross necklace lay bare on the dresser.

3..2..1..

Beep...Beep...Beep

The alarm barked over and over constantly echoing.

My free hand grabs it and throws it across the room.

The object shattered into a million pieces, sitting up straight and rubbing my eyes.

Staring at the wall for a few minutes, thinking if my education is that important anymore.

Stepping into the shower, using a wash rag and vanilla spice body wash, not spending a minute longer.

Properly wearing my school uniform, though a coffee stain is noticeable.

Locking the front door, having a playlist on shuffle making my way towards school.

Pushing hard against the double doors, walking with my head held high, ready for anything.

Looking off to the side, hearing faint whispers and phones going off like crazy.

I continue, reaching my locker a note, and pictures fall to the ground.

A picture of me sitting in the school's courtyard, and Alex making eye contact.

Seems like someone isn't a good best friend after all

"Wow, looks like someone doesn't want to be happy for their friend," said Daniella staring at me from behind arms crossed, and anger written on her face.

The student body gave their attention to me and Daniella's build-up to an argument.

Sly remarks and comments were tossed from side to side.

Wide grins and eyes filled with mischief watching everything unfold.

"Look, Daniella, me, and Alex were just looking at each other, nothing is going on between us," said Diana grabbing her friend's hand and words with true honesty.

"Oh, please you expect me to believe you? Looks like you wanna take him from me?" said Daniella pointing her finger at her chest leaving a mark on her skin.

"What? no Daniella you know I always had respect for you" said Diana ignoring the cameras and stares from the students around.

The tension in the air tenses with every second, everyone else sticking their nose in the present drama.

Slap...

Daniella's hand lands a hard slap against my cheek, trying to keep my tears back from flowing.

"My god, you're such a desperate whore, just know no guy will ever want you anyway," said Daniella walking away and leaving me broken inside.

Students scattered to their classes and leave me all alone in the empty hallways.

Running as fast as I can to the girl's bathroom.

Locking myself in a cramped stall.

A feeling of shame, embarrassment, and sorrow from my one true friend.

Tears spill down my cheeks, holding in sobs of hurt, and betrayal.

Eyes stained with tears, and feeling so numb on the inside.
