A. Bases For Assessment

2. expert opinions regarding psych characteristics; only after employing adequate-assessment
3. opinions about individual w/o conducting an examination; discuss the limitations of our opinions & basis of our conclusions and recommendations
B. Informed Consent
1. mandated by law; routine; individual's decisional capacity
2. not competent; immediate family or legal guardians
3. third party entrep; confidentiality of test results must be ensured; limitations of obtained data
C. Assessment Tools
1. pertinent to the reasons for referral
2. current scientific & professional development
3. standardized, valid, reliable, and has a normative data
4. characteristics of our clients
D. Obsolete and Outdated Test Results
1. do not base on outdated test results
2. do not provide on the basis of obsolete tests
E. Interpreting Assessment Results
1. indicate our reservations regarding the interpretations
2. purpose of the assessment & other factors
F, Release of Test Data
1. not used by persons other than explicitly agreed upon by the referral
2. do not release test in forms of raw & scaled scores; unless regulated by the court
G. Explaining Assessment Results
1. sources of referral and w/ written permission
2. explain through non-technical language
3. clients or designated representatives except when it is explained in advanced to the client
4. supervise such releases
H. Test Security
1. handled only by qualified users or personnel
I. Assessment by Unqualified Persons
1. do not promote the use of tools and methods except for training purposes w/ adequate supervision
J. Test Construction
1. using current scientific findings & knowledge
