(I did not proof read this)

WEXTON

I stumbled out of my bed in a rush, running over to my closet and throwing the door open.

I know it's in here somewhere.

Scratching through all the stuff on the top shelf of the closet, I quickly found what I was looking for. Pulling it down, I stared at the old basket in my hands. The wicker basket had a blanket and a small, round glass looking object. A luma lens. This basket was the one they found me in as a baby. I picked up the lens and carried it back to my bed with me. I flipped it around in my hands a couple times, feeling the smooth edge.

Why would there have been a luma lens with me?

I let out a deep sigh, tossing the lens gently onto the bed next to me. I was going to keep trying to sleep and forget about the lens till the morning but before I could the lens lit up next to me.

"Woah" I mumbled as I reached over to grab the lens. An image quickly formed, the lens displaying an image of a young man with pure white hair.

"Hello, my name is Alex. If you're watching this, well, you should be my son. Wexton, if you are watching this, I am sorry that I was not there for you. I'm sorry your mother and I couldn't raise you. Your mother passed shortly after your birth and I'm sad to say that I don't think Seabrook would've been ready for a family like ours. I hope that by the time you are watching this that Seabrook will have changed for the better. I hope you are able to live as the wonderful, special child that you are. I truly am sorry for leaving you my son, but I believe it is for the best, I could never give you the life you deserve. I hope you will have discovered some things on your own but if not, you my son are the beautiful result of the love of an alien and a wolf. Your mother was one of the most beautiful creatures I've ever seen, a proud and courageous wolf. I would take you to the wolves, to her pack, but I doubt they would be welcoming, the wolves do not trust easily. I hope that wherever you end up that you grow to be strong and courageous like your mother. I hope that you have the bravery to be your true self, the way I always wished to. Never be afraid to be yourself my sweet boy, never make yourself small for others. I love you. Your mother loved you."

I stared in shock as the video faded. I was half alien?

"ZED!" I shouted into the dark, running to his room. Zed jumped, screaming in shock as I threw his door open.

"What the heck dude?" my brother exclaimed.

"Sorry, forgot it was the middle of the night. This is important though. Come on" I rambled quickly as I raced down the stairs and out of the house, Zed hot on my tail.

Ha, tail.

"Where exactly are we going?" Zed called out, breathing heavy as he chased after me.

"To get Wyatt and go see the aliens" I replied.

"Care to explain why?"

"Not yet"

After picking up my incredibly confused boyfriend, the three of us rushed towards where the mothership hovered.

"Are you ever going to explain what we're doing?" Zed complained for the 8th time of the trip, Wyatt nodding in agreement.

"Sorry, it's just kind of crazy to explain and I need to explain to the aliens too" I apologized before staring up at the ship above.

"Uh, hey mothership? Could you please beam us up? It's important" I called up. There was a moment of awkward silence where the three of us just glanced between each other before we were surrounded my light and beamed aboard. As we arrived on the ship, A-Lan, A-Spen, and A-Li came rushing into the room.

"Wexton, Wyatt? What are you doing here?" A-Lan queried with a confused smile.

"Uh, I'm here too" Zed mumbled.

"Sorry for coming here so late guys, but I have discovered something kind of crazy and super important" I explained. The aliens looked and my two companions in confusion, earning shrugs from the two in response.

"Well, come then, let us discuss what is so important" A-Spen offered, leading us to the room we were in earlier this evening. I couldn't think of a way to explain everything I'd just discovered so I let the words just blurt from my mouth.

"I'm an alien"

The group all stared at me in complete confusion and disbelief and I felt really stupid as I just stared back. I should have thought this through more.

"Pretty sure we already discovered you were a wolf" Zed spoke slowly as if explaining something to a toddler.

"Yeah, I know. Just, look" I spoke in exasperation, holding out the luma lens for everyone to see.

"Where did you get that?" A-Li demanded.

"I've had it my whole life, I just didn't know what it was until now" I tried to explain "I was found in a basket in the woods when I was a baby. In the basket with me was a blanket, a piece of paper with my name on it, and this" I finished, waving the lens around.

"Well, did it do anything when you picked it up the first time?" Wyatt questioned nervously, clearly not sure what to think about it all. Everyone looked a little unsure.

"Not right away, but just now- right before I crashed into Zed's room to come here, it played a video" I told the group.

"We should try and play it again" A-Lan spoke for the first time, offering me a gentle smile as he reached for the luma lens in my hand. I handed it over and let the boy connect the lens to the ship. Everything flashed blue for a moment before the video I'd seen began to play for everyone. Large grins grew on everyone's faces as the video played.

"You are one of us!" A-Li cheered as the video ended.

"Have you tried to lift the luma lens?" A-Spen inquired.

"Uh, no not yet. I don't think I'm ready to try that yet. Maybe later" I replied nervously. I didn't want to try and have it not work like with Addison. They aliens nodded in understanding.

"This is so cool, you're like a hybrid!" Zed cheered "wait! Wouldn't this make you Addison's cousin? Alex was her uncle wasn't he?"

"Yeah, you're right" Wyatt added with a smile.

"Yeah! That's awesome!" I cheered, excited by the realization only for my face to quickly drop.

"Wait... Bucky is Addison's cousin, and if I'm Addison's cousin..." I began, a feeling of horror and dread washing over me "oh my gosh, I had a crush on my own cousin" Zed let out a low whistle at my words, Wyatt's face scrunching up in disgust.

"Sweet home Alabama" Zed sung lowly with a smirk.

"Not funny" I snapped.

"A little bit funny" Zed countered, holding his hand up, thumb and index finger pinched together. I groaned loudly, throwing my head into my hands as the aliens watched on in confusion.

"Well, I for one am happy to welcome you to our group and not Alabama" A-Lan spoke up with a large grin. Wyatt broke into a cackle at the boys words, Zed quickly joining in. I couldn't help but laugh along.

"Thanks Al" I thanked the alien with a smile.

"I cannot wait to tell Addison, but for now I'm heading home. I need some sleep" Zed spoke up with a grin, waving goodbye to everyone before going to exit the ship.

"Hey, I know it's super late but uh, while we're talking about important things..." Wyatt started, glancing between me and A-Lan.

"Oh, yeah. Good call" I interjected "A-Lan could we talk to you... alone?" I finished Wyatt's thought.

"Of course" the alien boy grinned, quickly leading us to his room.
