I walked through a dark forest, the greenery was nice. After a long harsh winter, it was a nice cooling spring. The air was clear and fresh. I heard the noise of the busy highway up ahead of me. Cars speeding by.
By the time I finally return to my car It was dark out. I grab my keys and trt to turn on the car. The engine sputtered.
"C'mon you damn thing" I muttered to my car.
The engine still didn't work. When I looked at it, well- I didn't know what I was looking at. I'm a nerd, not a engineer. I look at the tires, they've been slashed, probably some teenagers that did this.
A man starts walking twords me.
"Oh hey! D'you think you could lend me a hand 'ere?" I asked him.
Silence was all I heard, the man kept walking twords me. I look at where his hand was. It was over his pocket, the shine of a gun showed.
"Stay quiet and I'll make this easy for ya okay?" The man spoke in a rough voice.Detective Samuel pondered over this case laid out before him for hours. It was yet another missing person. He's had 16 of these in the past week, all random, but they seem to all be tied together. He found this dumb as hell. It's been a fucking week, 17 missing persons cases, that all tied together, and yet not a single goddamn fucking lead. He was pissed beyond imagination. Last time he was home was a week ago, last time he had a break was last year. He was sick and tired of this job it brought him to a breaking point. Maybe being an author or a therapist would've been a better career choice for him, this clearly wasn't working for him.
