A/N : This is kind of a prequel to 'Dance A Night - Part 1'. I know I haven't updated for over a year but I thought I should bring this book back because I was missing it too. Cheers to reading !
It was a beautiful evening because why not ? The Chatterjee Research Institute for Cancer had just completed twenty-five years in the medicine industry, retaining its successful position amongt the Top 5 institutes in India. The Chatterjee scion, Ronobir Chatterjee was also in plan to setup a pharmaceutical startup, the reigns of which had been put into notion very recenty. But all Ronobir Chatterjee cared about or one would say had eyes for, was a certain black-haired woman who was present at the silver jubilee party hosted by The Chatterjees.
Mishti - The name in itself laced a certain sweetness to it but Oh Good Lord, she was a firecracker and she ceratinly had no qualms in royally ignoring the said man in the picture, instead choosing to spend her time with Reeva Chatterjee, the vivacious sister of Ronobir Chatterjee. But who was she fooling ! If Mishti was a pro at ignoring people, Ronobir was the Picasso of observations. His keen eyes would make no mistake hence playing a vital role in the standing of their family business, a trait which Ronobir's father was very much proud of and admired. Ronobir knew the tricks of survival, hence proving himself as a much worthy candidate of that chair in the main office.
His eyes followed the doe-eyed beauty and had caught her staring at him a few times when she thought he wasn't looking. Keeping down the drink in his hand on the bartender table, he made his way towards the two women, passing smiles and greetings along the way to known people and people who wanted to congratulate him and family on the cilver jubilee as well as his individual venture. Once there, he cleared his throat in an attempt to announce his presence. Reeva Chatterjee looked up with a cheery smile on her lovely face and greeted her brother with twinkle eyes. Ronobir couldn't help but pass a smile at her. Reeva Chatterjee could make anyone smile at her, even the most serious. Her aura was so welcoming and she always oozed a certain level of comfort that could make anyone feel at home. Right now, she was moving to the United Kingdom to persue her higher education in Fashion and Ronobir sighed. He was going to miss the goofball of energy at home. He had ofcourse put out people in United Kingdom for her security (unknown to her ofcourse. Reeva was as wild as she was welcoming. That girl had nails sharper than a knife which she put into good use. He had had his share of experience when they were children)
'Hello Dada !! What brings you here ?'
'I saw two lovely women and I though I would drop by and say a HI. Probably ask them if they need anything, inturn being a good host.' His eyes moved sideways to catch a glimpse of Mishti Acharya who had a very hard look on her face and pretended to type something on her phone furiously.
'That's so sweet. I was just complementing Mish on her outfit. She looks so pretty, doesn't she Dada ?'
Ronobir took a full look at the other woman who had gone pink in the face but made no effort to look at him. She was dressed in an off-shoulder fuschia bodycon dress that went till her knees, complimenting her curvacious figure and paired it up with pair of pearl earrings, an evil eye pendant and a pair of silver ballerina flats. She looked breath-takingly gorgeous. Ronobir wasn't a fashion expert but he thought the fuschia brought out the black-gray in her eyes beautifully.
'Yes Sweetheart. She looks absolutely gorgeous.'
His words made Mishti look up from her phone and stare at him and for the first time in the evening, Ronobir and Mishti looked at each other. Mishti's eyes had a certain apprehensiveness in them. A look of question as well as a certain uneasiness. A frowning crease made way to Ronobir's forehead but he did not say anything.
'I knew it ! Mish, I told you. You look totally fine. You look absolutely gorgeous. If I were a man, I would have taken you away from here.'
'Reeva !!!' chided Ronobir gently with his eyes wide at his sister's over-excited squeal.
