I was running.

For my life, it would seem.

If I failed, I would lose.

It was fourth and 10, with only a second left on the clock. We had the ball on our own forty-yard line.

I maneuvered through the pocket, trying to create space for my receivers to get open. My offensive line was doing my best, but it was clear they wouldn't last for much longer if I kept moving around like that.

Finally, two of them got open, but the pocket was starting to collapse. I moved to my right, and two linebackers were in pursuit, with another not far behind.

I tried to evade them, but I could only do so much. The third linebacker came running at me full speed while the cornerbacks caught up to my receivers, and just as the linebackers all knocked into me at the same time, I hurled the ball in their direction, with more defenders in the end zone, and I would have seen the outcome, but I forgot that there were THREE professional linebackers crashing into me, and the world went black.
