Scene 1:
It's been two weeks, and things have been going great for the unlikely duo. JJ has successfully established himself as a member of Aron, Jason and Karl's group. He also talks to Lance a lot. Meanwhile, Zoey has been oscilating between Leslie, and Mia, Lagi and Perri's group, not knowing which to choose. Despite the two getting closer, she still doesn't know much about Leslie. Right now, it's a very special Monday morning, as it's casual day at Red Hills. JJ is looking himself in the mirror, unsure about his outfit.
JJ: Fuck. I hope this doesn't make me look weird... Who would have thought that I would get used to the uniforms.
[He gets out of the bathroom, and finds Zoey]
JJ: How do I look?
Zoey: Damn, J. You really can pull off that red checkered shirt.
JJ: ... Are you being sarcastic, or are you genuinely complimenting me?
Zoey: I'm being genuine. You look really handsome.
JJ: ... (blushing) Wow. No girl's ever called me that before.
Zoey: Well, there's a first time for everything. Come on!
[The two go to the kitchen, to have breakfast]
JJ: And what are you wearing for casual day?
Zoey: This.
JJ: That's what you're wearing? Really?
Zoey: Yeah. Why? Is there something wrong?
JJ: No, it's just... That's not your usual style. I wasn't expecting you to wear such a preppy outfit.
Zoey: Why are you surprised? I haven't been wearing dark clothes since I've been here.
JJ: Yeah, but this is casual day.
Zoey: So? Do I really look that bad, without the dark clothes, and the eyeliner?
JJ: No. That's not what I meant, at all... In fact, you've never looked so gorgeous.
Zoey: (blushing) Well that's really sweet of you, J.
[They finish breakfast, and then leave. They're now on their way to school]
JJ: So how are things going between you and the girls?
Zoey: Good. I just hope I don't get to a point where I have to choose between Leslie, and the popular girls.
JJ: You know my opinion on that. If you have to choose, go with Leslie.
Zoey: Why? Just because you find her relatable, compared to what you used to be back at Goodwolf?
JJ: Well, not just that. She just seems so down to earth, compared to Mia and her stooges.
Zoey: She is. But we also don't know much about her. She's so reserved about the past. I wonder if she's hiding something.
JJ: She could be. But she could also not have anything to hide. Either way, she's better than the other three.
Zoey: You're so biased against the popular girls, and yet you hang out with the popular guys.
JJ: That's not true. Jason, Karl and Aron are not like most popular guys. They're cool.
Zoey: And what about Lance?
JJ: Lance is even cooler than them. He's a legend. Used to be just like me, and then changed schools and became the king.
Zoey: (laughs) Whatever, king.
JJ: ... Can you please call me that, like, all the time?
Zoey: Nah, sorry. You gotta be the descendant of a monarch for that.
