After a while of me and the little girl, her name Se-bin, playing with my baby girl Jae-ik decided to go back on the motorcycle.

We were gearing up to leave when Ho-chul started complaining again, "Sergeant... you know... I'm thinking that we should probably use our skills to get ourselves out of here first. And then they can send the army in for the kids after, you know? I think that makes more sense. Sergeant?"

Jae-ik ignored him, "If we all die, who's going to tell them about the important laptop?" Ho-chul reasoned.

"Ho-seong."

"Ho-chul." Ho-chul corrected.

"Ho-chul. Do you know why some people run to safety when they are in danger? Because there are others who are running into danger for them." Jae-ik answered him.

"Why put ourselves in danger if there's no reason to?"

As Jae-ik and Ho-chul were bickering I looked back at my baby. I was already geared up. She was cooing while looking up at me. 'I don't want to say goodbye to her. Should I have a name for her? I haven't even named her! What kind of mother am I?'

Jae-ik then pulled Se-bin to where I was sitting to talk through the plan, "Okay, listen. We're gonna leave together now. We're gonna go zoom on the motorcycle, hm?" I nodded while Se-bin looked back outside, "What about Mommy?"

Jae-ik struggled what to say next, "Well, your mommy... Let's just come back for her later, okay?"

After Jae-ik's son got rejected and Jae-ik had the baby placed safely in his jacket, we set off. I was holding onto Se-bin from behind while closing my eyes.

Ho-chul kept yelling and screaming, attracting more zombies to where we were.

"Ah, a dead end. That's it we're stuck!" Jae-ik said, annoyed for a second, "Wait. Wait, no. There is a way."

Jae-ik then drew zombies to our location by beeping the horn so they'd get trapped in the wall.

"Help me" We suddenly heard, "Huh? What?" Jae-ik asked, confused, "Over here!"

We spotted a man with an orange hat that looked like a carrot or orange.

Ho-chul was trying to get Jae-ik to leave the man behind when he spotted zombies.

Jae-ik looked over, as well as me and Se-bin, to see nothing. Jae-ik smacked Ho-chul on the head.

Jae-ik put his jacket on me, giving me my baby back. I zipped up the jacket so my baby was tightly wrapped up in the jacket. The jacket was slightly loose on me, so I still had to hold her, but not too loose. Jae-ik climbed up to the roof with the guy because he had hurt his leg.

As Jae-ik was climbing up Ho-chul drove off with me and Se-bin still on the bike, "Oh fuck this."

We heard Jae-ik yelling for him to come back. Me and Se-bin looked back as we couldn't get off.

After a while. Ho-chul had gotten a bus from Munpyeong Daycare. He started beeping the horn as we got closer to where Jae-ik and the man with an orange hat were.

"Hey, Sargent! Jump! Jump on top of the bus!" Ho-chul yelled. We could see all the zombies trying to get in through the windows.

We could hear Jae-ik and orang hat arguing, but more zombies were heading toward us, "Se-bin? Hee-su?" Ho-chul said looking at us.

"Yes?" Se-bin answered as we both poked our heads out, "Close both your eyes."

We did so.

Jae-ik banged on the bus to make us stop. After we heard the other person jump on the roof o the bus we set off again.

Even when the sun had set, I was still playing with my baby, "Chu, chu. Hello baby." I was smiling widely for the first time in ages. I don't want to say I couldn't remember the last time I smiled because I could, I just couldn't pinpoint when exactly, I just knew it was quite a while ago. I was sitting next to Jae-ik, as he was playing with my baby as well, although I was still holding her.

"Stop- Stop- Stop the bus!" Suddenly the bus jolted as if it hit something. Turns out Ho-chul hit a girl. Jae-ik went out to check on her.

Suddenly we all heard gunshots as the windows were breaking, "Mr. Detective!" Se-bin was crying and I ducked down in my seat, covering my baby with my own body.

Turns out it was the police force. They took us to a camp for testing. The girl Ho-chul hit was Eun-ji. I knew that she was a student at my school who was bullied.

Me, Se-bin and Eun-ji were taken to go get food while Jae-ik and Ho-chul stayed back for an interview. Eun-ji seemed to recognize a friend. Me and Se-bin walked off. We decided to stay next to each other as we both didn't see anyone we recognised. Neither of us were hungry so we went and sat down.

Se-bin seemed to be gazing at my baby's face. My guess was she wanted to hold her, "Do you... want to hold her?"

Se-bin looked up, "Can I?" I nodded and handed her my baby, showing her how to hold a baby. After a while of smiling and laughing with my baby, we heard screaming. I looked up to see Eun-ji biting the person she was just talking with.

Se-bin handed me back my baby as we went and hid together.

"Attention, all citizens in the quarantine camp. In order to find those who are infected but asymptomatic, we are separating Hyosan citizens from those of you from other regions, as per the KDCA's recent safety recommendation. Until a reliable testing method is created and the situation is resolved, stricter quarantine rules will be put in place effective immediately. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to cooperate."

Me, Se-bin and even my baby were handcuffed with zip-locks, although luckily they didn't take away my baby. Suddenly thunderstruck and Se-bin looked up, crying. "Come on." I whispered to her, not wanting the soldiers to get mad.
