"Oh my God," Adeline growled after she had been awakened by the blinding light in the room. She opened her eyes, blinking quickly because all of the unexpected brightness. She suddenly felt intense pulsing head pain. For a split second, Adeline had no idea where she was; but she recognized her hotel room, having no clue how she managed to get there.

She looked under her sheets—she wasn't wearing her little black dress, but her monkey pajamas. She wanted to get out of bed, but her head not only hurt like a bitch, but she also felt dizzy from dehydration. She slowly went to the bathroom, finding Pierre with a toothbrush in his mouth there.

"Good morning, sunshine!" He greeted her cheerfully, not feeling a single symptom of a hangover, even though he came to the hotel room later than Adeline.

"Shut up," she grumbled, definitely not in the mood to joke around with Pierre. "Gosh, I'm so hungover," she sat on the edge of a bathtub, covering her face in the palms of her hands.

"When I came here, you were already snoring," Pierre grinned after he had washed his mouth and face.

"What do you mean? We came here together, no?" Adeline frowned in confusion. She didn't remember practically anything that happened after Lily had convinced her to drink too many shots.

"No, I was in a different club. You don't remember?" Pierre sat next to Adeline, wrapping his arm around his brutally hungover best friend.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," she sighed, realizing that she had no idea what she had done and said, or how the hell she got there. "Alright, I'm gonna take a quick shower and go get some coffee, maybe I'll remember what happened."

"Fine, get me a coffee too, please."

After Pierre had left, she closed the door and looked in the mirror. She didn't even have any makeup on, so she also had to remove it somehow, but she just had no idea. And she also thought that it was unfair that Pierre didn't get to struggle, even though he had come later than her. On the other hand, he was known for partying, and Adeline didn't party at all.

The shower took her way too long, but she simply couldn't do anything faster. She had to take some ibuprofen to suppress the headache. Then she put a grey sweatsuit on, and didn't forget to cover her eyes with black sunglasses. She certainly wasn't a fan of Barcelona's sun at the moment.

She went to the café that she had already visited because of Yuki, and where she had met Charles for the first time. When she thought of Charles, she was sure that she had drunk that much because of the damn attraction she was feeling for him. And she was certain that she had seen him yesterday again after their conversation at the bar, but she couldn't recall anything.

"Hi, can I get a doppio, cappuccino, and a bottle of water?" Adeline asked the waitress after she had arrived at the café. She actually wanted to get a triple shot, but her head would probably explode after it. She was grabbing her order when she heard a familiar voice.

"Well, I certainly didn't expect you here so early!" Her entire body froze, knowing who was talking to her. She turned her head and saw Charles walking towards her. "You look great," he added after checking her out.

"I look like I'm homeless," Adeline mumbled, realizing that she was wearing absolutely no makeup, old sweatpants—and her messy bun certainly didn't look like the Pinterest one, it was just messy. And of course, he looked handsome like always. Why was this happening to her?!

"No, you don't," he laughed. "You actually look a lot better than I expected after this night."

"Wait, why?" Adeline frowned. "You know what happened?"
