Time skip 4 years later, you're in college
𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝗼𝐫'𝐬 𝐩𝗼𝐯
It's been a few years since Y/n and Huey had that talk in the park and now some years later they're in college.

Huey was the first to finish, starting college as a sophomore, Y/n had done the same but had taken an extra year to get her Doctorate in cognitive psychology.

College and adult life had treated the two pretty well, Y/n had grown up a bit more, mentally and physically, the same for Huey who had taken a bit of his girlfriend's relaxed and fun nature with him.

But as of right now it had been a good while since the two spoke, the last week of midterms for Y/n was pretty stressful but lucky she had finished strong while Huey was focused on his job at a law firm, already finishing his training and picking up some cases.

Life was just moving fast and the two were just now getting a grasp of it.

"*sigh* I'm so tired" Y/n groaned, walking into her dorm that she was lucky enough to have all to herself, she was about to just simply toss her things on her bed, having a stressful study session, but before she did she noticed a large and nice bouquet sitting on her pillows, a card sitting there as well.

"Who's this from?" I spoke to myself, wondering if these flowers were from that weird frat dude a few months back, but I haven't seen him for a while.

Once I opened the card I was surprised to see it was from Huey, the card explaining how he was sorry we couldn't hang out much with how busy everything's been, and that he wanted to make up for the lost time.

"I hope those are still your favorite flowers" I heard a familiar voice say, turning to see Huey, the man dressed in grey sweatpants and a grey hoodie to match, his hair in its classic fro, one that currently matched mine.

"Oh my god!" I couldn't help but be excited, running over to my boyfriend and jumping into his arms, a little surprised when he caught me without struggle.

"Damn you missed me?" "Nigga of course I did, I hope you missed me too though," I say, kissing Huey's lips, the two of us giggling a little when our hair kind of mushed together for a moment.

"*chuckle* yeah I missed you, a lot more than words can explain" He grinned against my lips before sitting me down.

"Anyways I hope I'm not interrupting anything, I wanted to surprise you at a good time" "Oh no you're good" "Alight then, anyways you should check that envelope, I got a little something in there for you"

As he spoke, I looked at my boyfriend confused, seeing he was looking through my closet, grabbing stuff.

But once I looked down and decided to see what else was in the envelope, I had pulled out $400 in cash, Huey always insisted on giving me money ever since he started working at the firm.

"Huey you can't keep giving me money, you got bills to pay, I'll be fine," I say, feeling a little bad for just taking the boy's money.

"hey this job pays good, and winning all these cases just adds up, I promise you that 4 hundred will not break my bank as of right now, and I promised both you and your family that I'd take care of you no matter what, so just let me do this" Huey stated, placing a black velour outfit on my bed, bending down to grab my fuzzy slides.

"*sigh* I know and I'm grateful, but-" "Nah, if you're grateful then you'll let me spoil you, miss Dr" Huey joked.

"Fine" I rolled my eyes, feeling Huey kiss my lips, this time slow and deep, pulling away with a grin.

"Perfect, now get dressed, you're spending the night with me" "Huh? You're like three-four hours away Huey" "And? It's only 3 pm right now, we got time" the man stated before I had got dressed in the tracksuit, Huey looking at me with a smile.

"Man you don't understand how gorgeous you are" Huey spoke before kissing me, the compliment making me smile.

"Thank you, now let's go," I say, grabbing my things and pulling Huey out of my dorm, the boy simply letting me drag him around till we made it outside.

"So what are we doing specifically?" I questioned as we made it to the parking lot, Huey opening the car door for me.

"Well I know you've been stressing over midterms earlier so if you want we can just chill and watch movies, we're gonna pick up dinner from your spot though" Huey explained leaning against the car door.

"You sure that's all we're going to do sir?" I asked, looking up at Huey from my seat, the man grinning at me before licking his lips.

"I mean we could do something else too, but we'll figure that out later" He smiled before closing my car door, and walking around to the driver's side to get in.

"Mhm okay"

Once Huey started the car I had almost forgotten I had missed lunch, hearing my stomach practically crying for food, my eyes avoiding my boyfriend's gaze as he glared at me.

"You didn't eat lunch?" "I was going to" I answered, knowing I had gotten too caught up in my studying to even think about getting food I'm the moment.

"*sigh* you're gonna make me get grey hairs early, finna start looking like grandad by tomorrow" Huey jokes, a laugh leaning past my lips, not expecting Huey to say that.

"What, you finna start whopping people now?" I asked the two of us now just adding onto the joke and laughing, Huey was barely able to pull out of the parking spot from laughing, the two of us having to calm down before he started driving.

Already I knew the drill once Huey started driving, my phone was already connected to the aux, and my playlist going "Human Nature" by Micheal Jackson playing.

Eventually, though Huey pulled up to the McDonald's drive-thru, reciting my normal order without a second thought, and also getting cookies.

"Thank you" I smiled, kissing Huey's cheek as he paid for the food, his dimples showing as he smiled "Anything for you" he stated, his grip on my thigh tightening for a moment to add emphasis to his statement.

Time skip
After a very long drive and a nap, we had finally made it to Huey's home, the man holding my hand as we made our way into the luxury apartments he was staying in, the staff already know me as we walked in.

Huey's apartment was truly amazing and thanks to my creative abilities it was even better since my boyfriend was willing to leave it as is, which I wasn't going to let happen.

But still, despite being here for his move-in and even staying here for about half of the summer, I couldn't help but be amazed as we walked in.

"I can't wait to graduate, I need a place like this," I say while looking around "What do you mean need? This is your place too" Huey stated, looking at me as if I had just spoken the dumbest words on earth.

"You know what I mean" "No I don't, this is your home too if it wasn't I wouldn't have let you decorate and have your closet and stuff here" The man shrugged before walking off, not allowing me to get out another word.
