    ~IMPORTANT~
(You'll see this same message on the first page of all of my stories)

Many of my current stories ('Society's Little Miss. Middle' being the only exception) need to be re-written and edited. I joined Wattpad around two years ago... and my writing style has greatly improved since then. I have read over each story and, frankly, I'm very disappointed in what I published.

They aren't well written, have many plot issues, and countless grammar mistakes.

I will be re-writing ALL of my books. Updates will be slow...but I just want to be sure that if you read my work, it's worth your time.

Thanks for understanding! Feel free (at any time) to message me with any questions, comments or suggestions!

"There you are!" Cameron exclaimed, smiling easily and walking over to Aspen. She was a tall blonde, with a bubbly personality, while he was the goofy baseball player. They shared a musical passion and were currently about to preform.

Aspen smiled, a little nervous. She was having a solo. Her own duet with a male accompaniment. Cameron was the person she'd be singing with. She shook her hands to try to calm her nerves. He chuckled.

How is he not freaking out? Aspen thought.

"You're going to be amazing, I already a know it."

Her nerves calmed a bit by his encouraging words, but immediately came rushing back when their choir director walked onto the stage. Her stomach felt as if butterflies were fluttering within.

"This next piece is a duet. As soon as I heard this song, I thought of how perfect it would be for our choir. When I call your name, if you could walk out together guys-"

Another burst of butterflies in her stomach.

"Our soloists for this piece are Aspen Eden and Cameron Peterson." To Aspen's surprise, when they walked onto stage, an eruption of clapping and hollering was heard. She blushed.

They stood in the center of the stage and grabbed their microphones.

"This piece is written by Ron Pope and is one of my favorite songs." Cameron smiled. Aspen bit the inside of her cheek nervously but smiled.

Just say what we rehearsed, She chimed in her head. "It's titled 'A Drop in the Ocean.' This song is about how love is rare and sometimes when you let something go, it's hard to get back." Aspen pushed a strand of her curled hair away from her blue eyes and Another eruption of claps filled the room. She let out a breath of relief, Now onto the hard part.

The piano began playing and instantly Cameron begun.

"A drop in the ocean, A change in the weather. I was praying that you and me might end up together." He looked into her eyes with a glance. Aspen took a breath before entering on the next verse. Her melodic voice rang to the ears of the crowd. No wonder her middle name was Melody.

"It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert, But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven." She sang, swaying lightly. Cameron turned to face her like they had practiced.

"I don't wanna waste the weekend, If you don't love me pretend. A few more hours then it's time to go..." Aspen took a step closer.

"As my train rolls down the east coast, I wonder how you keep warm. It's too late to cry...Too broken to move on." She sang smoothly, forgetting about the audience and getting lost in Cameron's eyes.

"And still I can't let you be; Most nights I hardly sleep, Don't take what you don't need from me." He took aspens hand which surprised her The next verse they sang in harmony as the piano built suspense.

"It's just a drop in the ocean, A change in the weather. I was praying that you and me might end up together. It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert, But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven." Aspen stopped singing and let Cameron continue.

"Misplaced trust in old friends, Never counting regrets. By the grace of God I do not rest at all. And New England as the leaves change, The last excuse that I'll claim.I was a boy who loved a woman like a little girl." He stopped.

"And still I can't let you be, Most nights I hardly sleep. Don't take what you don't need from me." Aspen sang, gazing into his eyes once more. They sang in harmony once more.

"It's just a drop in the ocean, A change in the weather.I was praying that you and me might end up together. It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert, But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my..." Aspen closed her eyes lightly as she sang the next notes.

"Heaven doesn't seem far away anymore-"

Cam cut in. "No, no-"

Aspen took over again, smiling.
"Heaven doesn't seem far away" harmony once again.

"Heaven doesn't seem far away anymore. No, no. Heaven doesn't seem far away. Oh, oh" Cam stepped closer and locked eyes with Aspen. A touching moment. In a soft voice he sang once more.

"It's just a drop in the ocean, A change in the weather. I was praying that you and me might end up together. It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert, But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven-"

Aspen sang the last phrase a Capella
"You are my heaven."

The crowd instantly broke out into cheering, hollering, yelling and clapping. Aspen sighed in relief that it was over and beamed at Cameron.

"I told you that you'd be amazing!" Cam exclaimed, smiling.

Aspen put her arms around him and he hugged her back. "We did it." She chirped, smiling. He pulled away and took her hand. They both turned towards the crowd and bowed. This was the beginning, wait until the end.
