Chapter 1

*Explanation*

(Scarlet's pov)

Its cold and dark. Like pitch dark!

I'm scared to keep walking.
The weird thing is is that I want to continue.

The floor is damp. I can feel the leaves in the ground. So I know that I am close by home.

At home we have a lot of trees. Maybe that explains why there r a lot of leaves. We live in the woods. Yea. the woods! Creepy right? People call us witches.

If ur confused. Don't be. I will explain every thing. Once I wake from this dream...

I jump up. Frightened.

'God! It's always that damn roaster!!'

I slowly get up in a sitting position.

'When is gram ever going to kill that roaster!!'

I rub my eyes. Trying to take the sleepiness out.

Once I feel like I am awake. I get up and turn on my music. 'Clint Eastwood' by Gorillaz comes on. I then walk to the bathroom and take a nice cold shower while singing along to the song.

Once I feel like I'm nice and clean I wrap the towel around my tinny little body. I walk to the sink, I look at my reflection and I start combing my hair.

I have smooth raven black hair. Flawless pale skin. Bright gray eyes. Perfect white teeth. Red luscious lips.

Well...

That's what my grandmother says.

But she also playfully makes fun of my thin body.

Yes I am skinny. I just don't like to eat. It doesn't satisfy me. So y eat it?

My grandmother says that I look so much like my mother...

Oh, my mother.

How I miss her. Wherever she and my father went. My grandmother doesn't like to talk about them. From what she tells me. They just disappeared. But I feel that that's not all that happened.

My grandmother says that they loved me very much.

Well... if they did. Y did they leave me behind?!

Gram says that it was because they wanted me to be safe.

I don't know what to believe anymore.

But. Now. I don't let that bother me. My 16th birthday is in 2 weeks!

Yes. I'm turning 16!

Gram says that we r going to make a huge party!

But. I thought that anyone is going to come. Everyone thinks where witches.

Yea so my grandmother does black magic. So what.

I don't really have any friends because of what my gram does. But. I really don't care.

Gram believes in black magic. But she doesn't really use it unless nessecary.

Putting on black skinny jeans I think. What will happen today. It's the en of my school year being a sophomore at

Cloud-Nine High School!

Or like I like to call it. Sex School.

Well lets just say a lot of kids find it an obligation to feel at cloud 9.

And if u don't know what Cloud 9 is. Well it's when u reach ur climax.

Yea. Funny right?!

Well. Anyway.

I slip my Black Veil Brides shirt. Putting on my black boots and my bracelets.

I walk to my room where 'Unbroken' by Black Veil Brides is booming.

My gram doesn't care about the music. As long as I'm not asking about my parents. So. This keeps me from asking. And I like listening to this music. Makes me happy!

I walk downstairs making me a plate of cereal. Cinnamon Toast Crunch!!

Hmm!!! My favorite!!

Finishing my cereal. I plug in my earphones and walk out of the house locking it behind me and head to school.

Walking down the street is always the same. When mothers with her children see me she shoos them away. Telling them to go inside.

I'll admit. It gets lonely not having any friends. But. At least I can focus on my studies.

Arriving to school does not take long. Since we live in the woods. We live close to the school. We just came back from Winter Break. Even thought its still snowing we still go to school.

I don't mind. I love the snow. When it snows. That how u know that it's hunting season. Meaning its easier to hunt.

My father was a hunter. As well as my mother.

That's what gram tells me.

I love to hunt. For some reason I know every movement that the animal is going to make.

Which gives me an advantage.

Entering the school I see all eyes on me. It's normal for me.

I go to an academy that my parents wanted me to go to. So. They saved up money for me to go.

I am a straight A+ student.

Grandma says that my parents would be very proud of me.

I think that maybe they would.

But. Anyway.

I head to my first period class. Anatomy.

I take my assigned seat and just start reading my book.

Wait for it.....

Thug!!

A paper ball appears in front of me.

Man. This is going to be a long day.....
