That One Unique World

The palace...

Finally, the queen and Aurora reached the palace. The butler got out of the car first then went to open the car door for the queen. After that, one nanny got out of the palace and opened the door for Aurora, she got out and ran to her mum, the queen put her arm around her shoulder, smiled and said " follow my lead my dear, you are gonna do amazing " Aurora did not know what her mum meant but just followed along. They walked in the palace doors, hand-in-hand, she did not know what to expect but oh well. Then, 2 maids came out of 2 different doors, one ran up to my mum taking her golden, animal fur coat off her and handing it to the butler, while the other came up to Aurora. " Come with me, my princess " she said while bowing down at her, the queen knew she was in a state of confusion and just told her to follow the maid, she introduced her as Ms Alisia.

Aurora followed Ms Alisia up the stairs while looking around the palace in amazement. " This place is huge!" she screamed. Ms Alisia looked at her and smiled " Yes princess, it sure is, your mum instructed all of us to make you feel welcomed and she said you are not used to living in these conditions, come let me bring you to your room." Aurora some what felt amazing and happy in this place, of course it would have been better if her brother was here but of course he was not. Ms Alisia lead Aurora up to a room, she opened the door and welcomed Aurora inside, the room was huge, a queen size bed, a walk-in closet, a huge vanity. Everything a kid would ever want. Ms Alisia went to the closet and took out a floral purple gown and a purple ribbon headband and placed it on the bed then told Aurora to go take a shower, change and head downstairs for the opening ceremony dinner. Aurora nodded and did as she was told, she walked into the bathroom and inside was a warm, steamy bath ready for her and even a bath bomb in case she wanted to have some fun. Aurora got into the bath and felt relaxed, she put on one of those fancy face masks ready for her and laid down in the bath, after 15 minutes she got up and took the face mask off, feeling more relaxed than ever. She got out of the bath and drained the water, then wrapped herself up in a warm rob, already laid out for her. She went out of the bathroom and changed her clothes. She looked absolutely fabulous in the purple floral gown, she went to the vanity to dry her hair. Just then, her mum walked into the room with another maid, she introduced herself as Ms Casady. " She will be your beauty stylist sweetheart, she does an awesome job. " said the queen. Ms Casady stepped forward and took the hairdryer out of Aurora's hands, she placed some silicon shape thing on it than faced it to her hair, she began drying her hair, once that was done she picked up a curler and started curling her hair. The entire process took 45 minutes, and being an 11 year old, Aurora did not care much about beauty but everyone knew Royals have a certain beauty standard they have to follow. Ms Casady was finally done, she put everything back into place, fixed Aurora's headband and bowed at her. " Come down for dinner when you are ready. " She said and turned to leave the room closing the door behind her. Aurora let out a sigh, all this was nice and all but she was used to doing everything by herself, having a little fun and not having to be such a stuck-up all the time. She knows every kid would kill to have this life but this was not what she wanted. She wanted her brother, but god knows where he is and what he is doing right now. " Ring, ring... ring, ring" Aurora's phone rang, she got up from her seat and went to take her phone, she sat on the bed and answered, " hello? " " Hi aurora, do u miss me?" she could recognise the voice from anywhere, it was her brother! " hi kor, why did you call me, I had already seen mum and I know you are evil." she answered, there was a long silence before he answered her back. " so... did she tell you anything about me?" Aurora was trying to remember what her mum told her on the way to the palace. " Yea, she said something about the system not being wrong and that you only have yourself to blame for getting black? I'm not really sure what she meant but she said it would soon all make sense.." Andrew acknowledged what his mum said and answered " Alright then, enjoy your royal life, you definitely will understand soon enough." After that all Aurora could hear was a beep sound. She ended the call and went downstairs for the opening ceremony. Mum was there already, she caught sight of Aurora and called her over, she handed her a pair of scissors and told her to open the door, make a speech and cut the ribbon. Aurora was the most confused person in the world, she looked up at her mum and asked " what type of speech? what is this for? " Her mum really did not know why her daughter was being so stubborn and having so much questions so she just smiled and slightly pushed Aurora forward and said " go get em tiger " a phrase her dad would say to her and her brother many times when they were younger. Aurora grabbed the door handle and opened it pushing the door in front, she grabbed her mum's hand and pulled her forward with her, then she stepped in front of the microphone displayed there and started speaking. " Hi world, let me start by introducing who I am, my name is Aurora Griffins, I am currently the royal princess and next for the queen's throne, today is actually my 11th birthday, the day me and my twin brother got our colours, it was very much a dreadful day today.. We were awake at 12am waiting for our colours to load like every other 11 year old child out there but I got my colour first, I was so happy to get purple as I've always wanted to just meet my mum again but I always planned to do that with my twin brother who was by my side for everything. We ate our meals together, woke up together, went to school together, was born together, have our classes together, donated together, we did everything together, but I did not expect this day to be our last together. My brother got black, it came as a surprise to both of us because he never did anything bad in his life let alone create a sin.. We thought it was a glitch in the system but when I went to wake him up today, his eyes were a shade of dark red and according to the colour system law book, there is no mistake with the colours if one wakes up with the coloured eye they got selected, we all know the dark shade of red in blacks and reds eyes hold the power to kill anyone in a glare. So, I knew it was not a mistake. I loved my brother very much and as much as I did not want to accept the truth, I had to. I pledge to myself to serve this world although the system is the most messed up part of it. Why should a colour decide how we spend the rest of our lives and how people are gonna look at us. It does not make sense at all and many families all over the world are getting separated because of this system. It does not even wait till u turn a teenager, like right after you end grade 4 your entire life changes. I've heard it a million times, it's the world and you cannot change it but what if you actually can. I do not know how but I am gonna work my hardest to reunite my family and other families together. Thank you." Aurora ended her speech, she felt like a big boulder was just lifted off her shoulders right after it, she expected hate to be thrown at her but no, it started from a few people clapping to many people realising what she said thus the entire world watching her erupted into applause. Aurora looked over her shoulder at her mum and her mum smiled at her, a smile which showed she was proud of her for making such a memorable and meaningful speech, Aurora grabbed the scissors and cut the ribbon in front of her. The queen then picked up the microphone and said " I hope you enjoy that meaningful speech by my daughter, I am very proud of her. " The queen grabbed Aurora's hand and took her inside. Then, the palace phone rang...
