I was reading the books Yanfei gave me to learn more about the laws, I looked at the clock and saw that it's 11 PM and decide to take a break, I don't really care about sleeping since I'm not tired and if I remember. I drink like 2 or 3 glass of coffee, I don't know if it's normal or not since I once saw my father drink like 3 glass of coffee when I was little and I got curious if it taste good so I made one for myself and it tasted good, but soon one of the maids saw me and told my father. In response he chuckled.
Anyways, I walked out of my room and went to the top to see the moon. "Why are you up so late human?" The adeptus said, "Why am I not allowed? And plus aren't you suppose to sleep to?" I said "An adeptus don't sleep, well I guess it's just me that doesn't sleep..." I giggled at the awkward moment "You have no respect for the adepti." Said Xiao. "Mortal go to sleep now. I have duties to do." I then walked to Xiao "Alright then, but don't always overwork yourself and just sleep if you are tired." I said walking away.

The next morning I quickly take a shower and head to Liyue, when I was searching for Yanfei I accidentally bump into the most annoying and greedy guy I had ever know since I was small, Childe. "Hey watch where yo- Oh hey shortie! It's good to see you again!" I just walked past him not even apologizing to him, he soon walked by me "So how's it going? Are your family doing ok? And by the way, why are you in such a hurry is there an emergency if there is let me come with you." He kept following and following me like a dog following his owner everywhere! I turn to him "Listen here Childe, I'm not in the mood of  talking right now especially when I can't find Yanfei!" I exclaim, "Oh! So you were looking for her, you know you can just ask me. She's in Wanmin Restaurant." I immediately stop where I was going and turn the other way. "So uh... Shortie are you perhaps busy tonight? If you aren't then do you perhaps want to go out sometimes?" Childe asked.

"No, I'm busy and plus I have a lot of studies I have to catch up, because I was supposed to go here when I'm 20. Instead I came here at 21..." I mumbled, after an annoying journey with Childe I had finally found Yanfei! "Miss Yanfei! I had finish all of these assignments and I also read the whole book." I said "Oh, great job Y/n. You wont get a lot of assignments now, so I will be giving you new books to read." Said Yanfei. What?! More books to read... I frowned and sighed, "Soo... Since you finished all your assignments do you wanna go out for dinner?" Childe asked desperately, "Ugh, fine..." I said groaning, why did I even agreed to go out for dinner with him...

When I went out for dinner with Childe, he is pretty chatty and loud that the other tables can hear him while I just stayed silent and frozen, I got out of the elevator then Xiao appeared in front of me "Where have you been Y/n?" He looked a bit serious "I was going out for dinner with Childe, why?" Why is Xiao acting so different today. "Ugh... You were with the Fatui!" I started to frown "O-oh I'm sorry..." I apologized, Xiao started to felt bad and hugged me. "Shh... It's okay, it's okay..." his voice softened as he hugged me.

I felt like someone is watching  us but I shrugged it off and give in the hug, it lasts for 5 minutes until Xiao let go. That's when I heard footsteps, I was about to investigate the sound but then Xiao held my wrist, "Don't go anywhere else, it's dangerous and demons usually lures mortals by making noises at night, go to sleep now it's pretty late. I'll make sure you're safe." He said looking at me, "Well, if you say so then... Goodnight Xiao." I said before going to my bedroom. "Night." Xiao replied.
