Your POV
I wake up at around 6:30, pretty typical for me on a Tuesday morning. As much as I love to have my beauty rest I know stuff has to get done. I sit up, stretching my arms up just to hear that mesmerizing crack in my lower back. Sighing contemptibly, I begin to get up and get ready for the day. Since I have the day off of work I wouldn't normally do my normal routine since I have nothing better to do but I have a dentist appointment today. Although I know those aren't a big deal such as, for example, job interviews or moving into a new house but ever since I was a kid I'd dread going to the dentist office. I would be petrified going anywhere near one, let alone going inside just to have this random adult shoving their fingers inside of your mouth to clean them. It may sound grotesque but that's just how it felt for me. Every since I would try think of strategies of making the dentist office less stressful, although they never worked. Now that I'm an adult the dentist office doesn't stress me out half as bad, it just makes me unnerved at times. Deep in thought I'd forgotten to actually get ready and already an hour has passed. I scrambled up from my bed and tossed my pyjamas on the floor, not worrying about the mess later on. I shuffle through my drawers to find something decent to wear. I decide on a simple pair of open-legged jeans with a form fitting black t-shirt. Basic but comfortable for a dentist office. I struggle to zip up my pants as I try to make my way to the bathroom to brush my hair and do my skincare. After all of that chaos I finally manage to get ready in only 15 minutes. New record! I make my way to the kitchen to grab an apple before I leave. I check my phone to see how much time I've got left. 7:50. That should be enough time to drive to the appointment. I grab my car keys and make my way out the door, jogging down the steps. I start up my car and begin to drive into the city. I don't live that far from the city so getting to the dentist office shouldn't take me that long. Even though my appointment doesn't start until 8:20 it's best to be there early to avoid city traffic, it's honestly a pain to get through. I arrive to the familiar run down dentist office from when I was a kid. It's certainly seen better days. I step inside, engulfed by the scent of mint and iron. Certainly doesn't bring back good memories but I take my seat anyways. Shockingly the wait time didn't take too long as I heard my name being called at the front desk stating that my dentist is ready. I walk down the familiar hallway and into the last room when I see someone sat at a desk that I do not recognize. He looks to be about 1-2 years older than me but certainly younger than most of the dentist that work here. He's wearing the usual uniform for a dentist but the shirt seems to be a size too small since it sticks to his torso like a glove, outlining all of his features. His hair is jet black and tossed in a way that makes it seem messy yet formal. He finally turns around, noticing I've been standing in the doorway. He looks over and smiles at me in a friendly way. His smile is very charming.. jesus what am I thinking? He's just my dentist. An overly attractive one at that.
"You must be Y/N, correct?" He asks. He motions to the chair while putting on his gloves. "Why don't you take a seat? I'll be ready in just a moment."
God even his voice is attractive. He just seems perfect in every way.
"So I'm assuming you're here for a cleaning, correct?"
I found it hard to find my words, his voice is so memorizing with every word he speaks. "Yup, also got a chipped tooth that I'd like to get fixed. Would that be too much trouble?"
"No worries hun, I'll get that patched up in no time" He replied, walking over to grab his instruments.
Hun?? That's a bit odd to call your client, not that I minded that much. I'm probably just overthinking it anyways, he more than likely calls all of his clients that. He walks back over and sits down in his chair. Looking over at his arms I notice that he has a full sleeve of tattoos on both of his arms. They seem to be a whole combination of tattoos but regardless, looking at them as he moves his arms is oddly attractive.. god why am I thinking this?? Like I've said before he's my Dentist, nothing more. And besides, I've only met him just a few minutes ago. After awhile I seemed to be so focused on his tattoos that I don't notice that he caught me starting at him. I turned to face at the ceiling in embarrassment, pretending I wasn't just staring at his arms for a solid 5 minutes. He chuckles at this and moves over behind the chair.
"I need you to open your mouth for me hun. I have to check that chipped tooth." He demanded.
For some reason I obliged so quickly that I didn't even realized until I felt the tools in my mouth. What was happening to me? Normally I'm the stubborn type, I've always been since I can remember. But now suddenly this man tells me to do something and I do what he says without me acknowledging it. I'm not sure what's gotten into me but I'm not sure if I like it too much. After he searched around my mouth for what felt like forever he took the tools out of my mouth and begun cleaning my teeth. Normally this is the part I dreaded the most sorely because the sound of metal scrapping your teeth drives me crazy and causes me to fidget a bit. But this time I'm not as nervous this time. I'm actually pretty...calm? This is a first for me. He begins the cleaning process and before I know it it's over. I was shocked as how fast the time flew by where usually it would've been the opposite. I felt relieved that the worse part was over but then I realized that I still have to fill in my tooth. As much as I don't mind this part whatever they used to fill in the chip taste horrible. He begins to start filling in the chip and I can already taste the familiar paste they use. I start moving my head a bit, trying to get rid of its horrid taste when I feel something warm on my chin. I then realized it was his hand. Confused, I try to move his hand but suddenly his hand jerks my head upright, facing him. The sudden force left me speechless before I hear him say in a gruff voice.
"Stay still darling, you're making this harder than it has to be."
