Chapter 11: Honeymoon

Alexandra wakes up the next morning with pain. "Are you alright your Grace," Cassandra asked Alexandra and she nods her head yes.

Alexandra was getting out of bed when the bedroom door opened and the ladies bowed it was Charles who walked in "Still not ready I see my love," Charles asked Alexandra. Then Alexandra smiles at her husband then gets ready to go on her honeymoon. When Alexandra made it to the court yard she saw Charles petting a black horse "Darling I heard from your brothers that you loved riding horses so I got you one meet Nyx your new horse," Charles said with a smile.

Alexandra pets Nyx "Hello sweet girl," Alexandra said with a smile then two young voices come to the courtyard "Mommy please take us with you," Stefano and Isabella begged their mother. She looked at them "I'm sorry my sweethearts I can't take you with me but promise me you be good to Catherine," Alexandra said and hugs her children and then Charles came into the hug.

Alexandra looks at her children and smiles at them "They'll be fine my love don't worry they'll be with Catherine," Charles said and kisses Alexandra on the cheek.

Alexandra gets on her horse and looks at her children one last time then rides away with Charles. Alexandra and Charles ride to Westhorpe Hall in Suffolk "Alexandra when we get everything in the house how about we ride around in the forest," Charles said looking at her then Alexandra smiles at Charles and rides a head of Charles. "Come on Charles keep up," Alexandra said to her husband and they reach their destination.

Westhorpe Hall

Alexandra looked at her new home "Welcome to your new home darling," Charles said and rides ahead of Alexandra. Then she and Charles were greeted by grooms and maids "Welcome home your Grace," They said with a bow. Charles gets off his horse and helps Alexandra off her horse "Its beautiful Charles," Alexandra said with a smile. Charles takes Alexandra inside to show her the rest of the house.

Alexandra looks into every room "Oh Charles this place is so beautiful the children and I are going to love living here," Alexandra said. Charles smiles at his beloved wife's reaction to the house then Charles leans on the wall "So my beloved while the servants and your ladies get everything into the house and ready for us why don't you and I ride our horses around the forest just you and me," Charles said holding Alexandra by her waist. Then Alexandra smiles at Charles "If you can keep up with me handsome," Alexandra said and gets on her horse and rides away. Charles smiles "You want to play that game my dear challenge excepted," Charles said trying to catch up to Alexandra.
Alexandra looks back at Charles and laughs but slows down when she reaches the forest "Found you my dear," Charles said smiling at Alexandra. Both Charles and Alexandra get off their horses and walk through the forest together "It's so peaceful here no one to bother us here," Alexandra said while walking through the forest "Indeed it is peaceful here my love," Charles said and sits on the ground his back against a tree. Alexandra looks at Charles and smiles at him "Come here Alex sit with me," Charles said with his hand out to Alexandra. She takes his hand and she's pulled down to his lap "I'm a lucky man to have married you Alexandra," Charles said and leans down to kiss Alexandra on the lips "Last night I hope I didn't hurt you because you were in pain this morning," Charles said rubbing his thumb on Alexandra's cheek "No, you didn't hurt me last night Charles," Alexandra said and kisses Charles.
