Dream had no idea where he wanted to go, but he did want answers, and he would get them one way or another. Maybe. He would try.
He decided he would head home, hoping George wouldn't pay too much attention.
He hadn't moved since George left, and everything was.. mostly in the same place. He got bored with a few things in their place and moved them, but that's it. He hoped George wouldn't freak out, much.
The way there, Dream would steal glances to the backseat through the mirror and George wasn't paying attention to where they were going. In fact, he was acting sort of weird. He kept glancing back and forth between him and the little girl, almost contemplatively. But that's not all; he kept looking around the car - perhaps looking for something - and putting his hand on the back of his neck. Maybe it was a nervous habit.
Dream caught George's eyes in the mirror, and surprisingly, George didn't look away. It almost made Dream want to look away. It was hard to tell what he saw in his eyes. Anxiety? Fear? Anger? He had no idea.
George looked away and started to tending to Alora. Dream looked back at the road before he ran off. Didn't want that happening before he got any answers.
They soon arrived and Dream pulled in the drive. - see this is where I'll have trouble describing. I'm not good with housing- The house looked fairly expensive but it wasn't as much as people would have thought. It had a side door that acted as a front door, since there was no room for one at the actual from of the house. The front of the house over-hung a small patio, with large glass windows lining the top floor. The front was larger than the rest of the house, being the living room. Behind the house was a small porch with fairy lights hanging low from the beams, which weren't on. Dream sat, car turned off, glancing in the mirror every so often to see when George would notice. He was honestly scared of his reaction. He wasn't sure why.
When George did finally notice, he looked like he just about choked. He stared at the house for a few second, then closed his eyes. Dream stepped out of the car then, contemplating how he was going to get the man out of his car.
He walked around the car, opening George's side of the car, but not daring to get any closer yo the little girl, Alora. He had been around her before hand, but because she was George's, he wasn't sure how much George would allow him to be near her.
Surprisingly enough, George urged Alora out of the car anyway, keeping distance between Dream and them. He seemed to be moving through a daze, not exactly here, but enough to know his distance. He kept staring at the house, like he'd never seen it before.
Dream sighed and motioned with his hands that they should walk inside. George finally got the point and slowly started walking towards it. Dream opened the door, and George only hesitated a second before walking into the house. The kitchen was to the immediate left, with nice white, granite-topped counters. To the right was a wall with a small closet for jackets, coats, and such. Directly across from the kitchen and next to the closet, was the living room, nice and open. The couch was up against the wall of the closet, with the loveseat facing the wall windows. A large, flat screen TV was sitting opposite the couch. Past the kitchen and living room, was a hallway, with three rooms: the guest, a small, full bathroom, and the master. The master had a private, full bath, for convenience. There was a fourth door, leading to downstairs and the patio.
George felt like he was going to puke. He hadn't seen this house in years and most everything hadn't changed. He set Alora down on the floor after she found her footing, and stepped carefully towards the back of the loveseat, her hand in his.
This was where she was supposed to live. This is where I had become pregnant with her, where she was supposed to spend the last six years that she hasn't .
