A suffocating atmosphere filled the silent room as Azul sat in the middle of it, his hands clutching his chair as the rest of his family stared him down coldly.
His mother is in front of him, her eyes dark as she frowned deeply.
Lila, his sister wasn't too far from them, listening from behind the wall and into the darkness of the room she's in.
She knew that Azul didn't mean any harm, he's just a child.
"M-Mother, please forgive me-"
"There is no forgiving in this! Swimming to the surface... showing yourself to a human and befriending them... how could you do this after all we've taught you?!"
She raged, her arms and tentacles all over the place as Azul covered his ears and sobbed out another apology, though it seems to be futile as his mother only got angrier.
"You scum of a brother! Not only did you break a law, but you also placed us in danger by meeting a human! They almost caught Lila, and now they are aware of our existence!"
His older brother shouted, pointing his finger accusingly to the young cecaelia.
"I-I'm so scared, King Triton is going to banish us! A-And it's all y-your fault! I hate you!"
The second youngest of the siblings choked out, hyperventilating as her twin brother comforted her, all the while both of them glaring at Azul.
"Where did we go wrong? We taught you everything, we did all the things we could just to warn you of the humans and what they would do to our kin, yet you disobeyed us and even befriended one... you're a disapointment."
