chapter 19. "The present"

Ganyu's mom was on her way to Keqing's house, hoping that her parents would let her it. Here it is, she recognised the house because they're were always decorating their houses. It was almost Christmas so no wonder. The doorbell rang, Keqing heard it and was hoping it was Ganyu. She opened the door and saw her mom standing there. Well, atleasr it was pretty close to Ganyu.. "Oh, hello Keqing. Are your parents home?" She asked. "No, they're at work right now" She answered. She does reacts a bit off.. oh god.. what have he done.. "can I talk to you for a moment?" She asked. What now, have I done something wrong or something?.. "of course, come in." And she leads her to the living room. "Well, I've heard about you and Ganyu, and trust me, she didn't meant it." She said. "Well, i only want to know why she broke up with me, that's all." Keqing said. "Well, she didn't wanted to break up, I'm sure. Why not make something for her if you want? Like a box with the memories of you 2 together? I'm sure she would love that." She said, hoping for her to say yes. "I do have some decorated boxes just in case, I think I could do that." She answered. "Thank you for your understanding, I'm glad you get me. I can take it to her if you want?" She offered. "I'd love to, I don't think she's ready to see me yet.." She said in dissapointment. Ganyu's mom wanted to say something about that, but she let's it go.

Keqing head upstairs to get her most beautiful decorated box, and took  Polaroids, her favorite lipgloss she forgot and as last, the letter. She puts a little note on top of the box.

Hello Ganyu.

I don't know why you suddenly decided to not see me anymore, but it doesn't matter. I love you no matter what, keep that in mind. In this box there's the letter what you've been talking about, the letter I wanted to give you when we were still just friends. Also there are our Polaroids we took together, and also the ones on the fair; when you fainted, Xiangling's reaction to Hu Tao and Yanfei dating and out photo booth Polaroids. You don't have to open it, just remember that i will always be there for you. And if I don't see you before Christmas, merry Christmas, Ganyu.

She walks downstairs to hand the box to Ganyu's mom. "Thanks, Keqing. Thanks for being there for my daughter these years." Ad she hugs Keqing, letting a tear roll down her cheek. She goes back to her car, calling Ganyu.

"Hello with Ganyu."

"Hey Ganyu sweetie, with your mom. I heard what your dad did and he's definitely not staying. If you could tell me where you are, I want to give you something."

"I'm at Hu Tao's, but don't try to let me come home."

"I won't, sweetie. Just giving you something from someone special"

"Mom I'm not seven anymore, no need to give me something from "santa""

"The person giving this to you is way better than santa. I'm almost there, love you sweetie."

"Love you too, mom."

And they hung up. Her mom arrived and placed the box on the ground. Ganyu heard the doorbell rang, and went to open it. She saw a little, well decorated box, and her mums car driving away. She got back to the room and showed the 2 the box. "If it's from your dad, burn it." Hu Tao said. "Don't worry, she said it's from someone way better than Santa." As she read the little note on top. "And, from who is it?" Chongyun asked. Tears started to roll down Ganyu's face. "It's from Keqing.." She said on a soft tone. "Open it! See what's inside." Hu Tao said. She opens the box, seeing all types of different things in it. She started crying again, seeing her favorite memories in it. "Ooo, another letter open it!" Hu Tao said. She started reading it out loud.
