Chapter 3: The Truth (Part 2)

After that the three men left the village, the elder who was responsible of the entire village, approached and hugged Emma and Alyssa, who were still desvasted by what they witnessed.

One of them said:
"I know how you are feeling right now, children, i know it."

Emma replied:
"its our fault, if she died...she died because of us, She knew it was the day of the taxes, she still accepted us, and now..."

she could not continue that sentence, it was too hard to finish it, but the elder replied calmly:

"Don't say this, my child, it is not your fault, she choosed to save you both instead of her, she was the only one who made that choice, so please, don't think that way. We all would have done the same thing for you."

Alyssa full of anger walked towards the way the guards left the village with a sharp looking object in his left hand. like if he was ready to do somethinh stupid. Some of the villagers noticed it, and immediately stopped him, of course, Alyssa could not do anything about it, 4 villagers were holding him, even with all the force Alyssa could have applied, he was still being held down.

One of them asked Alyssa while still holding him down:
"What do you think you are doing little man? You want us to be all killed this time!?"

The face of the villager could be seen between a mix of fear and madness, specially in his eyes.

"Just let me Go!" Alyssa replied. His tone did not changed, Heartbroken, Angry...all these feelings were overwhelming to him.

The brother of the elder spoke suddenly with his Authoritative voice:

"Cut it off now, Right now!! Don't you see that you are stressing even more the villagers? Don't you think that you should keep your calm, both of you two? huh?"

They suddenly stopped, Alyssa dropped his sharp looking object, and the villagers that were holding him, stopped too.

Emma on the other side, stopped crying, she was still sad, but not crying anymore. She ragained her composure. She then started to ask a question:

"Those Guards, why are they doing those Atrocities? Why are they putting entire village in blood pool? and harrass the poor?"

The elder replied:
"They don't have a choice."

"What do you mean they don't have a choice?" Emma replied pretty shocked.

"They are forced to do that. Well i assume that you don't know the current situation of our kingdom."

Both of Emma and Alyssa looked at the elder and said no from the head. Then the elder resumed his explanation.

"It has been already Nine long months since the day we are living like this. Our king is from what i heard, sick, his life conditions are in dangers."

"Oh no! it's Awful!!" Emma replied really shocked hands covering her mouth.

"Yes i know." the elder replied then continue:
"Since the king is sick, his advisor took the title till the king's health get better, but, as time passe the condition of our king did not stopped to get worse, i know he is old, but it is a very worrying situation."

One of the villagers exclaimed right after:
"Of course we tried to gather intel, but the entrance of the castle is clearly prohibited. i think, no, i'm sure that there is a conspiracy behind the prolonged illness of our king. i'm sure that it is the fault of this Advisor!"

The elder immediately replied:
"Please child, do not make such a serious charge without having any proof of what you say."

Alyssa Suddenly exclaimed:
"We are going to make our investigation on this case, and if possible, stop the culprit responsible for all of this"

All the villagers were shocked by what Alyssa said and one of them replied:

"Are you crazy kid? You are gonna die, for sure, you alone, it's a suicide mission!!"

Emma added:
"He is not alone, i am with him."

Another villager replied:
"Even if you two go, you are still aren't enough to fight against an army, it is a suicide mission!!"

Alyssa added:
"I think that's it better like this, if we want to free this kingdom, we need to pull a move, even if we die later, at least we have done something for this kingdom"

The entire village were shocked but amazed by the sudden courage that Alyssa and Emma were showing towards this cause.

The elder replied quite surprised but calmly:
"Still young, but yet decided to face death, such an admirable behaviour. In that case i can't let two children fight alone against an whole army."

One villager followed:
"Me too i can't, i'm fighting with you two to free us!"

The movement continued to follow. In the crowd some were hesitant, some choosed to follow Alyssa and Emma even if they were well aware that they could die, but the majority followed, some others were fearing for their life, which is totally understandable in the point if view of the elder, Alyssa and Emma. The new movement that was caused by in a certain point with the arrival of Alyssa and Emma created a resistance faction who were ready to fight for freedom, but they were too little, they would be outnumbered in a fraction of second resulting in an innevitable death.

Since this day, the motivation that some of the men of village needed, finally came.

Concerning Alyssa and Emma their journey was just beggining, a lot of harder challenge, choices, truth, lies, betraying were waiting for them in this path of shappen thorns, but will their shield resist to all those negative event?
