The One I Wish To Protect...

(1)Finding the Kitsune

When I was younger, all I could think about was protecting Makoto. But I have since had new thoughts about protecting someone else and doing so successfully, unlike my attempt at protecting Mikoto. I will not disclose who I have been thinking about. All I will say is that they make me feel warm inside and that I have known them for over 200 years

I decided to go to the grand Narukami shrine as my intent was to see if They were there. As I make my way up I stumbled apon missing stairs I ask my self why the stairs are missing and how long they have been broken because, not to long ago I heard about 10 people in a row getting horrible luck when pulling from the new thing the shrine recently added. But because the stairs were broken I decided to go the other way. As I get to the top I see her, the one I wish to protect. She is pink kitsune, who never disappoints when making tea. Her name is- "Oh Ei!" The Kitsune Howled " How'd you get up here?" "I took the other route as the stairs on the normal one happened to be destroyed by years of weathering and perhaps fallen branches." I said as the Kitsune hugged me. Back to her name, her name is Yae Miko. "Heh, Miko not so tight I can barely breath. Also where are the other shrine maidens?" I questioned as their absents was abnormal. "Oh sorry!" Exclaimed the Kitsune "And I think they all stayed home because of the stairs." "So it's just us two up here?" I query "yup, unless someone snuck up here."the Kitsune stated "But I highly doubt it because nothing gets pass my ears." So it was just me and her, I wanted to express how much I wanted to protect her but I couldn't figure out how. "Ei, Teyvat to Ei!" The Kitsune franticly waving her hand over my face. "Hm, Oh I apologize Miko. I was just thinking of something." I state.

She was stunning I wish to always protect her. "So why'd you come up here? Was it because of me?" The Kitsune asks smugly. Blush suddenly appears across my face, I quickly hide my face with the sleeve of my kimono "N-no I just wanted to see how the shrine was doing!" I stammer, "Oh c'mon Ei, I know you're lying!" "Miko, how dare you accuse me of such!" I say sarcastically.

Hehe gotta wait for the 2nd chapter now! Also hope you've enjoyed the first chapter it may be a bit short and I am truly sorry about that hopefully the next chapter will be longer.
