Ei's pov
"Ohhh Ei~~" The Kitsune says dramatically as she falls into my lap "Why are you hiding your pretty face behind the sleeve of your kimono?" I swear this pink kitsune was on my lap a second ago but I then turn around to see her clinging to my neck as if she was some sort of cape.
"Ei, your so pretty when you blush" she says as she pulls my arm away from my face. "Miko, I swore you were just in my lap ho-" I get interrupted by the sly fox "Ei, you've known me soooo long~, and you still haven't seen all my tricks. That's kinda sad but it keeps you on your toes~" she says as she lays back into my lap.
Yae's pov
I would've sworn I've done this to her before, perhaps she just doesn't remember it was centuries ago when I showed her that trick last so it is plausible she just forgot. She's so warm, and comfortable. I think I'll stay here until she needs to move. Hm how adorable she's still blushing.
Ei's pov
I feel a soft tail brush across my arm, multiple times. "Heh, are you trying to say you want pets?" "Perhaps, I mean you might as well whilst we are together together."
"Ooh Miko what would you do without me, not having anyone to pet you." I replied as the way she stated her sentence was an obvious yes.
Yae's pov
Oh she knows me too well, as she pets me I snuggle into her. I realize the last time we've done this was when we both were young.
"Ei, do you wanna go get food?"
"Hm, if your hungry then yes.
I would really hate to get out of this comfortable position, but I was hungry and it's not like I had any food up here unless I wanted to snack on some naku weed or Sakura blossoms.
We made it to Inazuma city, I ask Ei if she wants anything but she just says she's not hungry. But me being in her words "stubborn" I got some dessert for her and I to share. We head over to tenshutaku as it is closer than the grand Narukami shrine which is where we were previously.
