Rome's POV

I woke up the next morning feeling exhausted. People who say sleeping gives us energy was fucking pulling a joke. 

Today I'll be going to see my mate, so he's a human and won't smell the mate scent. I hope.

I go and take a shower, dress in black dress shirt and pop in some ripped jeans and slip on sneakers. I leave my bedroom and go downstairs, take my car keys and leave the house after locking it.

I drive out of my garage and go towards my mates house.

After 15 minutes I park infront of a decent sized house, it's actually nice. I walk up towards the door and knock.

Two knocks and a bird head, puffy eyed mate opens the door. "Yes" he mumbles rubbing his eyes before looking at me.

"Hi, I'm Rome, it's lovely to have you in our little town" I try my best to smile. "Yeah sure thanks" he continues rubbing his eyes and picking his nose.

I clear my throat and he raises an eyebrow. "So, how's your stay" I ask still standing by the door. No come in, classy.

"To be honest with you, it's boring. I can't even shift frequently" he yawns before his eyes widen turning into saucers.

I heard that right, right? He's a werewolf. And he can smell my scent, why isn't he acting submissive. I growl and he slightly backs away. "Werewolf" I continue growling.

"Look man, yeah I'm a werewolf but don't make a scene, anyways thanks for checking up on me. Byeeee" and just like that the door slams on my face leaving me shocked.

As I'm about to leave, it again opens "sorry, thank you alpha" he smiles and again slams it shut on my face again.

Wow. The shocker is that instead of being annoyed or angry, I'm amused by my mate.

Talking bout mates, why didn't he seem to feel the mate bond, or he's acting oblivious. I hope.

I walk back towards my car as I'm about to get in I sense eyes staring at me, I turn around and see my mate looking at me from the window.

I smile and he quickly ducks down, I shake my head and get in my car. Strapping the seat belt, I drive off.

I wonder what will happen from now, do I have to court? Ugh that thing is for humans.

I guess I'll just have to wait, I'm sure my mate won't stay indoors for the rest of his stay. But I have a feeling that he'll be a handful, but I wish it'll be worth it.

Goddess I know you have reasons, and I hope the future Luna won't keep his visitors outside without a come inside offer. But what I mostly ask for...

For him to never change himself, I want to see him with a bed nest with puffy eyes every morning.

As an alpha I wish my mate... Doesn't reject the bond.
