The Unexpected

Elsa's POV
Right now Anna and I are fifteen already. We are inseparable.
I woke up early in the morning. I have a woerd feeling that said there will be something horrible happening today. I have no idea what it is so I ignored it.
"Good morning , sweetie'' , mom greeted
"Morning, mom", I answered
I giggled when I saw Anna eating her pancakes greedily. "What?" Anna asked. I just laughed at her and she laughed too. 'Beeepppp beeppp' the bus came. "Hurry, Anna! We're gonna be late for the bus!" I said as I was grabbing a toast. "Okay I'm coming!"Anna said while gobbling everything on her plate. We bid goodbye to our mom and she smiled.
School was just soooo normal. I will get bullied, teased and laughed at. In the middle of English class, a police officer suddenly barged in and pulled me and Anna with him. My heart was pounding really fast and I saw Anna with a worried face too. We didn't know what was happening. He told us to get in the car. We did what we were told to because we were scared to death. What is happening here?

We arrived in a hospital. What? Hospital? Why are we here? I looked at Anna and she looked at me. We both didn't know what was going on. I saw lots of nurses going to a room with worried faces. I finally had the guts to ask what was happening. "Excuse me, miss. May I ask what is happening?" I asked one of the nurses.
"It's about......", the nurse said but stopped. I was getting really worried right now.
"About what, miss?" I asked softly.
"Your mother is stabbed by her ex husband", she said. With that statement, I was frozen. Completely frozen. Tears were running towards my checks uncontrollably. Anna heard everything so she cried too. We hugged each other while praying for mom to be alright.
"Is she alright?"Anna asked.
"I'm afraid not...I'm sorry, we've tried everything but it couldn't help", the nurse appologised. We cried even harder knowing that our mother was............dead. Why does bad things always happen to me?
Two days later
Today was mom's funeral. We could see many people coming. I cried so hard and my face was all red and my eyes were puffy. Anna experienced that too. We decided to still stay together. We had to sell the house to earn money for our school fees. We rented a small room in s cheap apartment. We also decided to have a part time job to increase our income.
