You began playing Dungeons & Dragons, a roleplaying tabletop game, with Sam, Sebastian, and Abby shortly after your second Spring in the Valley. It was a fun way to spend time off of the farm and build friendships with some of the other townsfolk.  

Harvey, your loving boyfriend, worked long hours at the Clinic most days, often leaving before daylight and returning home well after dinner. While you missed him while he was away, you knew that his work was important to him and the people of Pelican Town. His clinic provided the only medical services within miles and he had dedicated most of his life to his practice.

Despite you being incredibly understanding of his duties, Harvey constantly felt guilty for leaving you alone on the farm all day. He was delighted when you started making friends with your D&D group and had an enjoyable Tuesday evening activity to entertain you while he finished up paperwork and inventory at work.

You had just finished getting ready to go to Sebastian's house (which included changing out of your dirty farm clothes and eating a light dinner) when you heard the front door open and your boyfriend's voice. "Darling? I'm home early!"

"Harvey?" You grinned, running out of the bedroom to see his unprecedented appearance. "What are you doing here so soon?"

He caught you in a hug before pulling away and straightening his glasses and mustache. "I took off work early so I can spend time with you. Maru owes me, so she's handling everything at the clinic tonight." He kissed you on the top of your head. "What are you so dressed up for, love?"

"It's game night at Sebastian's." You grinned before suddenly realizing it would be rude to leave when Harvey took the evening off to spend specifically with you. "But I'll call and tell him you're home tonight." You smiled. While you loved spending time with Harvey, your group was in the middle of an intense campaign and you were dying to play some more of the game. He quickly caught on that you were less excited than you would typically be.

"Dear," Harvey's lips slid into an understanding smile. "If you want to go to your game night, please do. I completely failed to recall it was tonight."

"Are you sure? I'm so torn. I really want to spend time with you, Harv!" You looked up at your boyfriend, silently begging him to help you reach a decision. 

"I'm sure, go have fun. I can find a good book and head to bed early tonight." He started to walk towards the bedroom, taking off his tawny overcoat, when he pivoted to look back at you. "Actually, why can't you have the best of both worlds, as they say?" He quickly put his coat back on. "I could accompany you to Sebastian's house if you'd like."

Oh, wow. You didn't know what to think. D&D was a game you could never imagine Harvey playing, let alone enjoying. While you loved him immensely, your partner tended to be a bit insipid from time to time, and D&D required lots of imagination and the ability to step outside of reality when needed. Harvey, to be frank, wasn't the best at that. "I mean...if you really want to, you can. I really don't think you will like it, though."

"Nonsense, I love board games!" He grinned as he helped you into your coat. You winced at his comment but carried on, knowing that no matter what, you would get to spend time with Harvey and hopefully play some D&D.

By the time you got to the local Carpenter's house and down to its basement where Sebastian resided, Sam and Abigail were already there with the game setup, waiting on you.

"(Y/N)!" Sam cheered when you opened the door

Abigail joked, "Where the hell have you been?" as you walked into the room. Harvey followed you, seeming to answer Abigail's question and surprising the group. "Oh! Hi, Dr. Harvey."
