Walking back to my house to drop off the groceries I pass by that candy shop the children were talking about!

I swiftly get back to my house and put the things on the floor. But oh no... This isn't it! I must get candy!!! Strolling to the bright and aesthetic candy shop. I see that figure again, now this time it HAS to be real? I look at it and it doesn't dissapear this time. The light from the candy shop down the way makes the face of the figure get lightened up to the point where I could see the facial expressions of the man. The tall big dark figure, well now known to be a very tall and big man.. Grins while staring into my soul. I get the shivers and start to walk faster to the candy shop hoping it- uh- he wouldn't follow me. "Just keep walking Y/N, maybe they'll go away if you pay no attention to them.." Getting to the colorful door and walking in I see man with brightly colored clothing with a not so colorful expression, bordly looking on his phone scrolling on tiktak.

When hearing the loud bell ring and the doors shut closing off all the cold air, incoming the warmth of the candy shop, the man gets off his phone and forces a smile while looking up at me. "Hello!! Welcome to the most famous candy shop in town!!" "This is the only candy shop in town..." I mumble while smiling back at him. "Grab anything you'd like! And if you have questions... Just ask away! Don't ask for our license for being allowed to sell these candies because we DON'T HAVE ONE!!!" I laugh at what he says and look at all the treats there are on the shelves and tables. Many I have never seen before! "This place is amazing..." Mouth watering and feeling like I'm in heaven. I hear a loud slam and the bell on the door almost sounding like it's ringing for help I dart my eyes over to the ruckus. There were three boys wearing hats. One was shorter than the others and had a evilish grin on his face looking around. The other two just stared off in space looking bored or just not wanting to intervene with the shorter one's actions.

The boy grabs a handful of candy and straight up eats it while the one with gingerly hair smacks the back of his head yelling "We have to pay for it first!" Angrily looking at him and making the mom stance. He walks over and apologizes to the cashier and sees me looking at him, I look away and laugh a little, quietly though- not wanting them to hear me. I quickly pick out some candy and pay for the stuff walking past them not wanting to bother them or have a conversation with them. (Jesus how many times are you gonna say them)

As I walk out I hear a big thud and scurrying around in the shop. "Good that I got out when I did.. Heh.. Kids."

I turn around walking back to my house, or so I thought. Running into someone else I quickly get up and apologize for the accident. But instead of an "it's okay" or a rude comment, I got a deathly large grin and a stare into my soul. I back away a little to make some space between me and the man. Well I be damned, it's the shadow person and he's wearing a costume too! Wearing red horns and face paint, with a big comfortable... Looking turtle neck sweater. "What the hell is up with this town and wearing costumes!?! It ain't even October!" I look at him confused. Still staring at me I feel a little uneasy because of his eyes staying on me. I no liek when people stare at me :(

Eyes never leaving. Never even blinking. Just looking at ME. What the hell is wrong with this creep!?! I try to walk past him to ignore him and his creepy ass grin and crazed eyes but he moves to block my way.

"Damn it, cmon man I just wanna get home." His breathing getting more and more heavy I see something shining in his hand and before I knew it he was pulling a knife out on me! I back away looking around seeing if there was anyone I could go to or call to. Nope. No one. Fuck. This is absolutely great. A man in a devil costume with a knife aaannd a staring problem and I'm all alone! He finally says something after all the silence. Something I'd never think I'd hear from a random guy I've met off the street.

"Did you know... If you ate a human brain you'd get a disease that is similar to mad cow?"

Puzzled I start to speed walk backwards not wanting him to get anywhere near me with that huge ass di- I mean his knife or his little fun facts.

"I'm sorry what? I really have to go. Nice meeting you though!" And just like that I was gone. Running to my house trying not to fall like a dumbass clentching my candy bag tight and going through my pockets to grab my keys, finally finding them and arriving to my house. "Cmon, cmooon door don't do me like a unoriginal horror movie!!" Finally I get the door open and I slam it shut. Locking it and looking out my window making sure the man didn't follow me.

"Welp that was a rush! Hopefully I don't see that weirdo again..." I take my shoes off and grab bag by bag getting ready to put everything away. "This will be fun..." Tired, I lazily just throw things into cabinets and get the fruits and veggies into the fridge so they don't go bad so I can go into my room and pass the hell OUT. Just in case... I grab the sharpest kitchen knife I have and go into my room to get under my safe and warm covers. Eventually falling asleep, forgetting to lock the back door...
