The drive over to the Sanderson cottage was somewhat tense. Max had focused on driving the car while Allison and Rowena came up with a plan on what to do, although Max did input some ideas of his own as well.

"So, Thackery told a little bit about your past with the Sanderson Sisters. I don't mean to pry, but I'm kinda curious about your relationship with Sarah." Allison said.

"What do you want to know?" Rowena asked.

"Well, what made you realise that you were in love with her?" Allison questioned curiously.

"Truthfully, Sarah and I were best friends from a young age, and practically inseparable. A lot of people found her ditzy personality annoying, but I always found it charming. Sarah is also a lot smarter than people tend to give her credit for due to how she acts. But I think what made me realise I loved her was the fact she was so carefree and didn't let what people said affect her. And then shortly after I turned 22, I finally got enough courage to tell Sarah how I felt, and luckily for me she felt the same way." Rowena answered.

"So, were you really there that night? In 1693?" Max asked.

"Yes, I was. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to save the Binx children from their respective fates. A witch without a coven is not quite as powerful as a witch who has one. I was with the Sanderson Sisters when the townsfolk arrived, but Sarah pushed for me to leave, because she knew they would try to kill me along with them if they found me there. So I escaped, while Sarah, Winifred and Mary were caught and killed by the Salem townsfolk." Rowena explained.

"Whoa, so you spent three hundred years alone, all because you promised Sarah you would wait for her to return." Allison said.

"Indeed. Three hundred years consisting of moving every so often because people would freak out if they ever figured out I don't age. Just like why I pretended to be my own descendant when I returned to this town three years ago. People would freak out if they learned that I'm actually 350 years old, yet I look like I'm in my late 20s." Rowena told them, before recognising where they were.

"Max, turn off the headlights. We don't want to alert them that we're coming." Rowena said. Max quickly did so, and they pulled up outside the Sanderson cottage as quietly as possible, before halting just outside.

"And we're here." Max said.

"Alright, so we all know the plan. Max goes in to distract them. I'll be waiting out of sight just outside the door. When I hear the agreed phrase, I signal Allison, then we use the distraction to rescue Dani and Thackery, and then we get out fast and head to the graveyard. Then it's a matter of playing defence until sunrise." Rowena said, earning nods from the two teens. Max got out the car, followed by Rowena, and the two quietly walked to the front door. Rowena positioned herself outside the door, before Max burst through the front door, gaining the sisters' attention.

"Prepare to die! Again." Max said, barely noticing Jay and Ice in the two cages hanging from the ceiling.

"You! You have no powers here, you fool." Winifred said.

Maybe not, but there's a power greater than your magic, and that's knowledge. And there's one thing that I know that you don't." Max said

"And what is that, dude?" Winifred asked sarcastically, causing Mary and Sarah to laugh.

"Daylight savings time." Max answered. At this, Rowena signalled Allison. Seconds later, a pink light shone through the windows of the cottage, and the sisters mistook it for the rising sun and began to panic, before all three of them collapsed to the floor in a heap. Max rushed over to free his sister, while Rowena went inside and over to the bag hanging by the fireplace, which was where Thackery was being kept. Once Dani was free, Max quickly kicked down the cauldron, spilling all the potion in the process.
