I'm woken up to eat lunch. I leave the office and go to the courtyard to sit under a tree and read while I snack on some strawberries. I put in my earbuds and read.

Almost 5 minutes pass and I felt a tap on my head. I look up and take out an earbud. "Oh, hey Stu," I say in confusion. I got along with him when him and Casey were dating, but once they broke up, I ignored and avoided him out of respect for my now dead friend.

That's a lie; that's only what Casey saw. But I'm not one to dwell.

"Hey, I heard about what happened," he implied. "Oh... Casey, she uh... yeah," I still couldn't say what happened without my throating closing up. It just made it all that more real.

"No, I meant your attack. I mean, yeah, Casey too. She was one of the only people you actually liked, heh. I just wanted to make sure you're okay," he corrected. "O-oh... uh, I just got away with a little scratch. Not dead yet, sorry to disappoint," I joke. "Come sit with me and my friends," he told me. "No, I don't want to intrude. Besides, I'm pretty busy over here, by myself" I tell him. He sighed irritatedly and picked me up by my wrist while grabbing my stuff and leading me to the fountain.

He forcibly seats me and smirks triumphantly. "Stu, seriously. Just because she... Casey is gone doesn't mean you have to babysit me. I'm a big girl," I roll my eyes. "I'm just making sure you don't curl up again," he shrugs and pokes my side. I flinch at the ticklish feeling.

"You're the girl who almost died last night," Randy Meeks, one of the videostore attendees, pointed out. "Dude shut up," Billy gruffly told him. "It's a wonder you survived, final girl," he jokes. "I should've died," I whisper.

They go quiet. "But you're alive and well," Stu affirmed. "Well' doesn't describe it. If I could trade places with her, I would. I wish I could. I mean, if I died, I'd be unaware of the people who stare. Now, in the halls, It feels like they're gnawing on my flesh, some hate me, some just realize I exist..." I vent. I realize just a moment later. "I-I'm sorry, I just ruined the mood. Really, I am sorry, I just-" "dude... you're not bothering us by having feelings," Billy interrupts the profuse apology falling from my lips as if it was uncontrollable.

Stu pokes my side again. "Yeah, sunshine, calm down! Do we really seem that scary? Rur," he does a little fake growl. I giggle. "See? Smiles look good on you, hon. Besides you got 2 totally awesome, buff guy friends who can protect you," he pokes the both of my cheek, pressing into my dimples.

"I'm Randy, by the way," the nerdy boy introduced. "Y/n," we shake hands. "You should come by the blockbuster. I'm working tonight and I can strike ya a deal on a movie. What'd'ya prefer?" He asks. "Horror. Say, do you have the newest Texas Chainsaw Massacre?" I ask. "The one that came out last year? Yeah, I think so," he grins. The two couples let us two talk. "Yeah, I've been meaning to watch it, but I was holding off. I hate sequels, don't get me wrong, I was just curious," I tell him. "Yeah, sequels suck," he agrees.

"But what are their actual names? Like, "leather face and his family of deranged cannibals", but like, is it the same dude or is it different dudes?" I exclaimed.

(Random pov changed brought to u by ADHD)

"Yeah, you only find out after watching the movie. It's counterproductive," he chuckled. She laughed as well.

"Y'know, you're aren't too bad," y/n shrugged. "You aren't either," he replied. "But back to movie talk. I don't think I fit the "final girl" bill. It's usually brown-haired mega-virgins who don't like drinking, smoking, or partying. I was Casey Becker's best-friend. Popular girls and all of those things go hand-in-hand," she started loosening up, relaxing. "Well, I think the biggest point is being a virgin. I'm safe, Sidney's safe, but are you?" Meeks asked.

"Woah, there, cowboy. Take me out to dinner first, damn," y/n joked, and laughed. "Uh, bet, but that's not the direction I was going with that," he grinned humorously.

(Randy has unspoken rizz ⁉️⁉️⁉️)

"Damn. But yeah, I'm happily a virgin," y/n smirked as if being a virgin was an accomplishment (which for a Senior in woodsboro high school who was friends with popular kids, it was).

"Alright... so about that date..." he grinned. She chuckled. "Fine. I think we already know what a date would look like for us," she flirted. "Hm... movie date, obviously. Halloween- no! Nightmare on Elm Street, popcorn and doctor pepper, and a shit ton of blankets," he gauged. "Damn you're good, Meeks," she marveled. "I work at blockbuster, it's my job," he slightly elbowed her thoughtfully.

"Really? Did you guys just forget we were here? Or what?" Stu asked in a way that seemed joking.

"Yes," y/n laughed, leaning on Randy. "Oh,
You wound me, sunshine! I knew it would be worth your while," he pretends to stab his heart, laughing.

Y/n felt wrong to be laughing. Her best friend died. Randy wrapped his arm around y/n's shoulder. "Hey, I'm sure Casey was great, but I'm also sure she'd want you to be happy," he tightened his arm gently. Y/n sighed and leaned on his shoulder. She smiled. She turned her head to Randy. "Well, when's our date? I'll have something to look forward to," she smirks, fluttering her eyelashes. "Hm... well, beautiful,
It'd have to be after Halloween. I'm sure the gang has something in mind for everyone's favorite holiday... and I would love for you to come with," Randy offers. "I mean, sure, unless they have objections, then I'm free," y/n looks over to the rest of the group. "Nope! I think you're absolutely adorable," Tatum tells her with a big smile. "Yeah, you're pretty cool. Maybe Randy 'll mellow out with you around," Sydney chuckled.

Billy's eyes had this look that had y/n pausing to stare. It felt... wrong.
