Cynthia's POV

I'm still in my teenage years...too young to say that I know anything and everything, you can say that I haven't seen the real world yet...but I can tell you this much that there's no feeling in this entire world as good as getting some good sleep after a long and hectic day.

Though today my bed doesn't feels as comfortable as it feels every day and every night. Rather it's very hard and uncomfortable, which makes me wonder if I'm really sleeping on my bed or somewhere else?

But where else would I probably fall asleep if not my home?

Blinking my eyes open, I groaned in pain as my neck and one side of my face, which now I realized was resting against a goddamn bench, hurt like a real bitch.

Raising my head up, I looked around my surroundings with my still sleepy eyes, I realised I was sitting, or rather should I say sleeping, in my school's library!

My school's empty library, if I may add.

Jesus Christ!

What on earth am I doing sitting here all alone?

And more importantly, why the hell was I sleeping here?

Closing my eyes for a second, I rubbed my palm across my neck with the intention of finding some kind of relief from the pain that I was feeling.

God! Even my head hurts.

I snapped my eyes open this time as I finally came out of my sleepy and lazy state and recalled what exactly I was doing here in the first place.

After biding goodbye to Steve, there were still two hours left until the school closed so I decided to stop by the library and study for a while and then Damien walked in and sat right across me...then for a while I tried to avoid even looking at him, but when I did look up at him...

He was sleeping like a little baby.

And you too fell asleep while staring at that little baby. Great job, Cynthia, my subconscious made a sarcastic comment.

Keep your sarcasm to yourself please, my head hurts already, I replied mentally.

Thinking of Damien, I glanced around once again but I couldn't find him anywhere in the library.

"Maybe he left" I mumbled to myself and I couldn't help but feel surprised sensing the disappointment in my own voice.

Anyways, I think I should leave too, because honestly right now I just want to go home to my precious and comfortable bed and yeah let's not forget, food too because I'm starving.

Ignoring the pain in my head and neck, I grabbed my belongings and stuffed them into my bag, before making my way towards the exit.

Reaching up the door handle, I pulled it towards me to open it but it didn't move even an inch from it's place, which made me wonder if there was something wrong with the door but then again when I entered earlier it was working perfectly fine.

Then what's wrong with it now?

I frowned as I tried to pull it open once again but the same thing happened, it just didn't open.

I tried yet again, applying much more force then what I applied earlier, but alas it stayed as strong as a mountain, in its place.

"What the hell?!" I mumbled to myself as a sudden feeling of fear and anxiousness started to creep into my heart.

Why is this door not working?

What the hell am I supposed to do now?

"Is there anybody out there?" I screamed at the top of my voice while banging my hand against the glass door, somewhere deep down hoping that it would break accidentally.
