Cynthia's POV
A week has passed by since Damien said that he wanted to talk about whatever happened that day at the play, that was the last time when I saw him. I mean I did catch his glimpse once or twice at the school, here and there.
But that was it, other then that I haven't seen him much at the school or maybe it was just the fact that I haven't been spending too much time at school lately, like I used to.
This past week I have been going to school just to appear for my exams. I would walk into my examination hall, write my paper and come back home right away.
I have been avoiding everybody at school, even my closest friends, everybody except Bethany.
And today being my last exam, I knew I would have to leave as quick as possible or else I wouldn't be able to escape from my friends today. I know they must be planning some party or some trip maybe, since today is not just our last exam, but also our last day of school as our winter vacation would be beginning from tomorrow.
"Hey! Miller!" I heard Steve's familiar voice as soon as I walked out of my examination hall after completing my paper.
"Steve..." I said turning around.
"Miller! You cannot run away today" Steve replied walking towards me.
"I wasn't running away, Steve" I said rolling my eyes and just as Steve was about to say something Sean and Madison walked towards us.
"Oh sure you were" Sean said with a playful smile.
"But we won't let you run away this time..." Madison paused.
"Enough now, Cyn, you have been avoiding us since over a week now" She continued.
"No. I haven't been avoiding anybody, Madi" I replied shaking my head.
"Oh is that so? Is that the reason why we are seeing you now, a week after the play" Steve said sarcastically as Bethany approached us.
"Look, Steve..." I trailed off with a sigh.
"After whatever happened at the play...I was just embarrassed and didn't want to see anybody" I explained.
"But why were you even so embarrassed?" Madison questioned.
"You are not the first girl to kiss a guy" She added in a duh tone.
"Yeah...so just over it" Sean said.
"And Cynthia, I'm sorry for whatever I said at the backstage right before the play" He added with a sorry look on his face as I smiled at him.
"Just forget about it, Sean" I replied.
"Yeah let's all forget about whatever happened at that stupid play and let's go home and get ready for tonight" Bethany said excitedly.
"Get ready? For what?" I asked, confused but just then I realized that they were all planning something.
"Oh no, no. Whatever you guys have planned, I'm not gonna be a part of it" I added shaking my head and tried to walk away but couldn't as Bethany and Steve both blocked my way.
"Seriously guys! I'm not in the mood to party" I said.
"I'm just gonna spend my entire winter vacation sleeping in my room" I added with a puppy look.
"No. No. That look is not gonna work on us" Steve said, shaking his head.
"Yeah. So, Steve's throwing a party tonight at his country side farmhouse, and we are gonna stay over and party all night" Bethany said.
