The voices banging back and forth in my mind
The chain of taunts chocking my soul
The storm of tears hidden behind
The struggle behind every foul.
Do you see?
The fakeness behind every smile
The tremor wrapped in clenched fist
The breath I take once in a while
The loneliness so clear among the mist.
Do you hear?
The words left unsaid
The chaotic yet serene scream
The bleeding page that paid
The crushing sound of my dream.
No! But I hear it, the sound so clear
It's asking me in fear,
Be true and reply,
"Are you truly alive?"
