When you heard the front door close downstairs, you opened your eyes and slowly lifted your head from the pillow.

You rolled over and looked at the clock to see that it was a little after six in the evening and you realized that you'd been sleeping the whole day.

You heard footsteps approaching the bedroom and you felt a slight sense of relief to find Yves walking into the bedroom.

"You're home," You said with a small smile.

Sitting up, you groaned over how achy your entire body felt and how nauseous you felt.

You've been sick all day.

You're throwing up a lot, have a pounding headache, and you're exhausted.

You're sure it's just the stomach flu but it's still no fun being sick and you've been waiting for Yves to arrive home.

Every time you opened your eyes, you hoped you'd see her face.

But until now, she's been busy doing things with the group.

"I missed you." You said and usually, you'd receive the words back in response as well as a soft smile.

But today, you just watched Yves roll her eyes.

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing." She grumbled.

"Okay. Well, can you come cuddle me?"

"Later, Y/N." She said and the tone of her voice made you feel bad.

"But-"

"God, Y/N, I said later! Alright?" She snapped. "I had a long day today. I don't need to come home and have you be clingy with me. I need some space!"

"I understand but-"

"No buts!" She said with an annoyed expression as she gazed at you. "Don't be annoying today. You get on my nerves when you want me to constantly be by you and cuddle you and I can't deal with that today!"

"I'm sorry, Yves, but I'm sick."

She quickly lifted her head and gazed at you from across the room.

She saw by the look in your eyes that you truly felt miserable.

You looked drained and exhausted and you were holding your stomach slightly, as if it aches and was turning, which it was.

"I didn't know, I'm sorry."

"Exactly, Yves. You didn't know. Why would you snap at me that way when all I did was ask you if you could cuddle me?"

"I had a bad day and I took it out on you. I'm sorry."

You sighed wordlessly and laid back down.

Turning onto your side, you turned away from her and closed your heavy eyes.

Suddenly, you didn't feel like cuddling her.

You just wanted to sleep and be alone.

"I'm sorry, baby." She said as she walked over to you, gently placing her hand on your back.

"Stop, Yves. I'm not in the mood. You want some space? Well, now I do too!"

"Baby, I said I was sorry. I didn't mean any of that. I was just frustrated."

"Well sorry doesn't cut it right now. As sick as I am and as much as I wanted to cuddle you, I'd rather be left alone now. So go away."

She grabbed her charger and some clean clothes before heading to the bedroom door.

She was going to go sleep in the guest room across the hall to give you the space you wanted.

She felt terrible though and wished she could take it all back because she's worried about you now.

But she couldn't take them back.

The weight of her words had set in and she had to give you space if you needed it because the last thing she needed was to make things worse.

"I'm going to sleep in the guest room. But if you get worse or if you need anything, please let me know. I'm truly sorry. I love you and k hope you'll forgive me."

She exited the bedroom and closed the door of the guest room as she went inside.

You let out a heavy sigh before falling back asleep, too sick to even think about how bad you felt from the things she said.

You just wanted to rest and when you wake up, maybe you'll feel up to talking things out with Yves a little more.
