Song of the Chapter: Time of our Lives by Pitbull & Ne-Yo
------------------------------------------
I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring. The annoying sound waking me up immediately.
It's showtime.
Well at least it will be tonight at 8. So roughly ten hours before I take the stage.
I put on my glasses, that'll soon be replaced with my contacts. I prefer the glasses, as they make my eyes feel more rested. When you're jumping around a stage, contacts are preferred though.
I walk into the bathroom, splashing my face with some cold water, before getting ready. After I get into some comfortable clothing, just a pair of jeans and a graphic tee, I grab my phone.
Lando:
Good morning! (I so hope Daniel was right and it's actually morning in the US)Lando:
I wish you all the best for tonight :) Go enjoy it. Gotta go to sleep now.Lando:
Good luck and good night :')I laugh at his sweet messages. He's already in Singapore for the Grand Prix, having media duties tomorrow. While I know he's asleep, I still answer his text with a smile on my face..
Aimee:
Good morning to you too! Have fun on media day :)I tuck my phone into the back pocket of my jeans, making my way to the breakfast hall. Ava will probably be waiting in the breakfast hall already.
As I enter the breakfast hall, I grab a tray, filling my plate with different fruits, some yoghurt and granola. I also grab a green tea and a bottle of water, before actually looking around the seating area. Ava isn't hard to miss though, her bright appearance standing out.
I take a seat at the table Ava's sitting at.
"How'd you sleep?" She asks me.
"Great, actually." I tell her, hoping I slept the jet lag off in one night.
"Good, I slept horrible." She says with a chuckle. "But luckily for me, I won't have to entertain thousands of people tonight."
After breakfast, we let a driver drive us around the city for a bit. Seated in a car with airconditioning was pretty much the best way to see a bit of the city. Los Angeles being very warm at this time of the year.
"I wanna see the Hollywood sign." I tell te driver, as he's driving us around. It's pretty much the only thing I wanted to do. Just so I could post it on my instagram.
As we're standing in front of the Hollywood sign, I'm a little disappointed. "Is this what all the fuss is about?" I ask Ava. "Some big letters? I could've taken pictures with the IAmsterdam sign for that matter."
Ava laughs. "Yeah, but that wouldn't really be this experience would it."
"No, it wouldn't. These are much bigger, to be honest." I say with a chuckle, posing in front of the letter, letting Ava snap a few pictures of me. My fans will love this, so will my family. I make a note to send the picture to Lando too. Knowing he'll probably likes to see what I get up to, as he had sent me some pictures of his day as well.
"Now, we need to go." Ava says, signalling it's time to go to the arena. Time to soundcheck. Time to get ready. Nerves slowly washing over my body as we get closer to showtime.
Everyone is rushing around backstage, getting the stage ready for me. My support act, some local band, just left the stage. I decided to give a local artist the chance every concert. So it's actually my tour, not with someone else. I love to give smaller musicians the chance, like someone once did for me.
"Are you ready." Ava asks, handing me my in-ears. The two of us waiting back stage until I get the sign to enter the stage.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I tell her making my way to the podium. Getting handed my microphone just before entering the stage.
I pause for a few seconds before I enter the stage. Taking a few deep breaths before walking onto the stage.
This is what you dreamt off.
You've got this.
They'll love you.
"Good evening Los Angeles!" I yell through the microphone, the crowd going wild. A bright smile appearing on my face as the first notes of the opening song starts.
