Oliver was in a training room, preparing for whatever the guards had in store. He knew he wouldn’t win, but that doesn’t mean he can’t try, right? Besides, he had no idea how many people would be entering the competition anyway. Probably millions. Maybe everybody in both heaven and hell were gonna enter. He had no clue. He had to train as much as he could. It was almost midnight, he’d been training since him and Kurt had gotten to his apartment. He should have been asleep by now, but he wasn’t.

Kurt was looking through a list on what looked like a clear sheet of paper, all the was visible were some words. He started to think before going over to the room Oliver was in and knocked on the door gently. “Hey, um- Ollie?”  He said sheepishly, leaning against the door frame as he put the paper into his pocket.

He stopped fighting the training robot for a minute, opening the door with magic. He wiped his forehead, since the room was pretty hot for some stupid reason, and he’d been training for a while. About 5 hours, at least.

“ What is it, Kurt? What do you need? “ he glanced at him, smiling softly and walking over.

“The first challenge is by a god called Alerus.” He said with a small smile, watching him train.

“ Alright? What about it? What’s the challenge about? “ He continued beating up the training robot while still paying attention to what Kurt had to say. He needed to train so he’d be able to defeat other players to complete the challenges faster, without any annoying people in the way.

“It’s a psychological type of game, so you don’t need to train anymore.” he said as he grabbed the note again and looked at it.

“They said we might have to go through our trauma, have our worst fears come to life, or we have to not snap out of a specific challenge. They said they can’t tell me though.” He said, putting it back up once he finished reading.

“ You call it trauma, I call it every single day of my fucking life. Worst fear, being alone, & having you be sad when I killed myself, which I’ve been through before. Wonder what the specific challenge is. I can train if I want to! You never know! I could have to fight something!! I don’t know how strong it is! I have to train!! “ he continued fighting the training robot thing.

Kurt sighed quietly before looking up at him. “You’re afraid of being alone?”

“ Yeah? Why? “ He glanced at him in confusion. It was just a strange question to him. He turned off the robot, still glancing at him.

He looked confused considering that Oliver would sometimes ask for him to leave him alone every now and then. “That- Doesn’t sound like something you’d be scared of-”

“ I only asked to be alone because I didn’t want anybody to see when I would attempt to kill myself, okay? I just.. didn’t want anyone to act sad.. I know they wouldn’t be! “

“You’re acting as if I wouldn’t care!:

“ YOU WERE ALREADY DEAD WHEN I COMMITTED SUICIDE! YOU WEREN’T EVEN THERE! THAT’S WHY I FUCKING DID! I JUST WANTED TO BE WITH YOU, OKAY?! MY MOM CAME BY WHEN I WAS SETTING UP THE SHIT, SHE DIDN’T EVEN SAY ANYTHING! “ Oliver started crying a bit heavily, turning away from Kurt, wiping his tears

“ Stop fucking crying, Ollie.. you’re making a scene.. “

He tensed up when he started shouting, he looked down before sniffing quietly. He didn’t know what to say, he looked back up and saw him. He started walking over to him slowly, grabbing his arm and hugging him slightly.
